Just got my OnePlus 14 and I’m honestly so stoked to start using it. Finally upgrading from a beat-up OnePlus 11. My main issue with the 11 was the screen protector always peeling at the edges and getting those annoying micro-scratches that ruin the display. I'm prioritizing the camera and battery life this time around, so I need something that won't interfere with the front lens or the fingerprint scanner speed.
I’ve done some digging. I read that the Spigen NeoFlex is a solid budget choice, but some people on Reddit say the texture feels "rubbery" and it's not actually glass. Then there’s the Whitestone Dome. It looks premium, but the UV light installation seems like a total headache and I'm worried about glue getting into the earpiece.
My requirements:
Is the Whitestone actually worth the $45 price tag or is there a better brand I'm missing?
Regarding what #2 said about "So funny you ask this — last month..." — I lowkey feel that struggle. If you want another option, check out the Mowei Tempered Glass Screen Protector for OnePlus 14. Its usually $30 for a 3-pack and works great with the ultrasonic sensor.
tbh the Whitestone Dome Glass Screen Protector is solid but just make sure you tape off every port before starting... the glue is MESSY and can ruin your speakers. id double-check the uv light timing too because if its not cured right the sensor wont work. honestly id recommend getting it professionally done if you arent confident with the liquid.
So funny you ask this — last month I was basically pulling my hair out trying to find a protector for my own OnePlus because I’m historically terrible at installing these things — like, I once got a piece of cat hair under a screen and just stared at it for six months. Re: "tbh the Whitestone Dome Glass Screen Protector is..." — yeah, that glue is a total nightmare if you aren't careful. I actually skipped Whitestone and grabbed the amFilm Ultra Glass Screen Protector for OnePlus 14 instead:
