trying to snag a Samsung OLED before the Super Bowl but Best Buy's price is all over the place. I read that Camel is the best tracker but it keeps erroring. One thread said it's Amazon only but some blog post listed it for Best Buy... so my logic was it should work? Is it strictly Amazon?

Yeah the previous guys nailed it, Camel is strictly an Amazon thing. Honestly i am dealing with this exact same issue right now trying to get that OLED before the game.

  • been stuck in this loop for about 3 weeks
  • every blog i find gives conflicting info
  • prices keep jumping 200 bucks back and forth its super frustrating cuz i really wanna save that cash but i cant find a solid answer either...

Blogs often post outdated info, but Camel lacks the scraper for Best Buy SKUs.

  • Avoid trackers without universal support.
  • Use Honey or PriceBefore imo, they handle non-Amazon sites way better.

CamelCamelCamel is strictly for Amazon products and nothing else. I have used it for years and I am very happy with its performance on that platform, but it will not work for Best Buy or any other retailer. Its entire database is built around Amazon-specific product codes, which is why you are seeing those errors. Those blog posts you saw are likely just wrong... it happens a lot with tech advice. If you are trying to snag a Samsung OLED, you really need a tool that handles Best Buy properly. I have had a very positive experience using trackers built for multi-store support.

  • CamelCamelCamel relies on the Amazon API, which simply doesnt have the data for Best Buy inventory or their specific SKU system.
  • Best Buy has aggressive blocks that stop simple scrapers from pulling data, which is why general tools often fail.
  • I have been satisfied with the price history data from extensions like Honey. It works well for me and I have no complaints about the accuracy at all.
  • Using a dedicated tool is the safest way to make sure you dont miss a genuine price drop before the big game. I have always found that sticking to reputable tools is the best way to avoid frustration. Its much more reliable than trying to force an Amazon-only tracker to do something it isnt designed for. I have been very satisfied with the results using this approach... it keeps things simple and you wont miss the sale.
