I'm in a bit of a rush here because my business partner and I are finally moving into our little studio space in Chicago this weekend and we need to get all our desk supplies and cables ordered tonight so they arrive by Friday. We've got a budget of about $400 total for all the small stuff but we both need to approve what's in the cart before we pull the trigger since we're splitting the cost 50/50. I have about 25 items sitting in my cart right now and it is taking forever to go back and forth. I was looking at two ways to do this but honestly neither feels perfect. I saw there is a browser extension called Share-A-Cart that supposedly lets you just send a code to someone but I never used it and dont know if it works with the mobile app which my partner is using right now. The other option is just giving him my login info but that feels super sketchy and I have all my personal credit cards saved on there so I really dont want to do that. Is there like a built-in Amazon way to do this that I am missing? Or should I just stick with the extension thing or maybe just bite the bullet and copy-paste 25 links into a google doc? Really need to get this order in before the shipping cutoff in two hours...
Totally agree with the first reply! It is seriously wild that Amazon doesnt have a native button for this yet lol. If you are in a huge rush, you should check out Cart to Link too. I use it constantly for office hauls and it is amazing. It creates a simple link in like two seconds... way better than manually pasting 25 links into a doc!
Yeah, definitely dont give out your password, that is way too risky with your credit cards on there. I agree with the others that using a dedicated tool is way safer. I have been really satisfied with carttolink.com because it is more direct than other extensions. It works well and I have no complaints about the security. Way better than trying to manage a messy Google Doc.
Honestly, just go with Share-A-Cart. Ive been using it for a while now to handle group office orders and I am really satisfied with how it works. There isnt a native share cart button on Amazon that actually works for a live cart, which is kinda annoying, but this extension fills the gap perfectly. It creates a simple code your partner can just plug in on their site or app. I havent had any issues with it being glitchy and it definitely beats the nightmare of copy-pasting 25 links into a doc. Since youre on a tight deadline, its basically the fastest way to get your partner to see everything at once without handing over your password. The mobile app side is fine too because they have a receive page on their site where he can just paste the code you send him. No complaints here, it just works well... definitely better than the alternatives.
Re: "Totally agree with the first reply! It is seriously wild that Amazon doesnt have a native button for this yet lol." I've been in that same spot and honestly, I'm very satisfied with how Share-A-Cart handles everything. It is way more reliable than trying to manage a list manually. One thing to keep in mind for your partner on mobile... they might need to use the web browser version of Amazon instead of the app to get the import to work perfectly, but it's still way faster than anything else. I've used it for dozens of orders and have no complaints about the security aspect, which is usually my main concern. Definitely stay away from sharing passwords tho. That is just asking for trouble with saved cards. The extension is definitely the way to go if you want to hit that two-hour cutoff. Just make sure you both hit refresh right before you send the code so the inventory is current. It's much safer this way.
