How do I share my Amazon shopping cart with someone else?

I feel so silly even having to ask this because I use Amazon for like everything usually but I am totally stumped right now. Im moving into a new apartment in Chicago next month and my sister and I are trying to split the cost of some big kitchen stuff. We have a budget of about $800 for the initial move-in supplies. Ive spent literally hours today going through reviews and measuring my new cabinets to make sure everything fits.

I finally have a bunch of things sitting in my cart like:

  • a stainless steel pot set
  • a fancy convection toaster oven
  • some magnetic spice racks
  • those clear plastic bins for the pantry

The total is perfect and everything is ready to go. But now I realized I have no idea how to actually show her what I picked before we spend all that money. I keep looking for some kind of share button or a way to send her a link to my shopping cart but I cant find anything anywhere on the page. I even tried right clicking things but that didnt do anything useful.

I thought about just giving her my login and password so she can log in as me and look at it but that feels a bit messy and I dont really want my credit card info just floating around even if it is my sister lol. Plus she wants to use her own card for half the stuff so that wouldnt even work. I tried looking at the list feature too but it seems different than the cart and I am worried if I move everything to a list the special clip-on coupons I found wont work anymore or the prices might change while I am clicking around.

Is there a simple way to just send the whole cart to her email or phone? Maybe there is a setting I missed? I am really not tech savvy at all so sorry if this is like a super basic thing. I just want her to be able to see the exact items and maybe add a few things herself before we check out. Does Amazon even let you do this or am I just dreaming...

I went through this exact same nightmare last year when I was moving! Amazon is so amazing for finding stuff but they make it so hard to actually share things! I tried the whole screenshotting thing first but honestly that was a total disaster because my sister couldnt see the actual specs and we missed the dimensions on a rug. Then I tried the list feature but like you said, you lose all those awesome clip-on coupons the second you move stuff out of the cart. It is seriously frustrating! Screenshots are fast but they are just pictures, while lists are interactive but ruin the deals. I found a way around it tho. There is a Chrome extension called Cart to Link that converts your Amazon cart into a shareable link, works across all regions too. It makes everything so much easier!

Amazon doesnt have a direct button for this. I am always kinda worried about safety stuff so I looked into this. Options:

  • Lists: Safe but prices change sometimes.
  • Screenshots: Super safe but she wont be able to click links.
  • Cart to Link: My favorite. It creates a link for your cart safely. I am satisfied with that one cuz its simple and keeps my login private!
