Upgrading from a OnePlus 11 because the battery is shot. I need the display pristine for the camera. Looked at Whitestone Dome and some TPU films, but I'm seeing conflicting reports about the fingerprint sensor on the UV glass. Which screen protector is the most reliable for the OnePlus 15?

Rarely post but saw this and had to chime in because people overspend on glass kits like CRAZY. Tbh you dont need a $50 UV kit to keep that display nice. If you want the fingerprint sensor to actually work EVERY time, just stick to high-quality TPU. It feels fine and you can swap them out when they get scratched without crying about the cost.

  • Ibywind Screen Protector 2-Pack for OnePlus 15 usually comes with a back film and camera protector for half the price of glass.
  • Ringke Dual Easy Film for OnePlus 15 is dirt cheap and the install jig makes it impossible to mess up.
  • Look for multipacks on Amazon so you have spares ready. UV glass is a total scam for curved screens ngl... just get the film and save your money for a better case.

So funny you mention the sensor — I spent ages yelling at my phone last month because a thick glass protector wouldn't let me in — wait, it was a 'premium' one actually (cost me thirty bucks!) — and I totally agree that TPU is the way to go. I'm using the Ringke Dual Easy Film for OnePlus 15 now. Quick tip: re-register your fingerprints after applying the film to keep things snappy.

UV glass kits from Whitestone provide the best clarity for the camera. Just make sure you tape off the earpiece and buttons properly. Liquid adhesive can easily damage the internals if you are not careful.

  • Double-check the screen for dust particles before applying the glue.
  • Use a level surface to ensure the adhesive spreads evenly.
  • I'd recommend getting it professionally done if you're not sure about the UV curing process. If the fingerprint sensor is your main concern, go with amFilm and you can't go wrong. Their TPU film is less protective against drops but carries zero risk of liquid damage. Just make sure the film is rated for the specific screen curvature of your device.
