Living abroad, I frequently call family while multitasking. My Apple EarPods with Lightning connector worked well initially but now produce strange sounds. AirPods Pro have poor mic quality despite troubleshooting.
I need earbuds (wired or wireless) with excellent mic quality for clear communication without switching to my phone's mic. Requirements:
I'm open to trying another pair of Apple EarPods ($35) if they're still good. This is crucial since I'm living away from home. Any recommendations are appreciated. Thanks!
Like someone mentioned, these budget brands really punch above their weight lately. In my experience, I've tried many different setups for long calls and Sony WF-C700N Truly Wireless is a solid bet under $100. The mic picks up your voice way better than the AirPods Pro do in a noisy room. If the EarPods were your favorite tho, just grab another pair of Apple EarPods with Lightning Connector. Hard to beat the reliability of a wire when you're moving around a lot and multitasking. Quick tip: while you're on a call, swipe down to the Control Center and toggle on Voice Isolation mode. It works with almost any earbuds and makes a huge difference for the person listening to you. Just a little trick i've picked up over the years... definitely worth trying so you dont spend too much on gear you dont need.

I use Huawei Freebuds 6i, love it.
EarFun Air Pro 3 are seriously underrated. $75, clear mic with AI noise reduction, and they sound way better than their price suggests. Only downside is the touch controls take some getting used to.
Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro - usually $80 on sale. Amazing mic quality for calls, solid noise canceling for the price, and works great with iPhone. Battery life is about 7 hours.
