Now that the iPhone 15 finally moved to USB-C, I’m looking for a solid high-speed cable upgrade. The stock one feels a bit flimsy, so I’d prefer something braided and durable that supports fast Power Delivery. Should I go with a 60W or 100W cable for the best speeds? Any specific brand recommendations?
> The 100W usually has an E-marker chip for better regulation Yeah, i actually had a knock-off cable start smoking once, which ruined my charging port. +1 to what was said earlier. I'd go with the Anker 765 USB-C to USB-C Cable (140W Nylon) for its superior safety features. Or, a more cost-effective option is the UGREEN 100W USB C to USB C Cable Braided for about $10. Both are better than a basic 60W cable because they handle heat better. Basically, spending a bit more now saves you long-term tbh
For your situation, basically its all about power safety. USB-C cables have different ratings, so i recommend the 100W Anker 765 USB-C to USB-C Cable (140W Nylon) over a standard 60W like Belkin BoostCharge Braided USB-C to USB-C Cable (60W). The 100W usually has an E-marker chip for better regulation, which is a decent option for safety. Even though the phone wont use full power, the 100W is a safer bet for battery health... gl!
In my experience, 60W is plenty cuz the iPhone+15+PD+spec+caps+at+2&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">iPhone 15 PD spec caps at 27W. I'm satisfied with UGREEN USB C to USB C Cable 60W Braided—works well and cheap tbh.
