tbh its kinda funny everyone is talking about screen protectors when the question was about power banks haha. i definitely agree with the general vibe here though... staying with known brands is way better for peace of mind. i am super cautious about my battery health so i never touch those super cheap ones you see online. honestly you should just stick with a Anker Power Bank or something from Mophie. you basically cant go wrong with them and they are way more reliable for the long run. i usually just grab whatever their latest magsafe compatible one is and call it a day. its just safer that way imo.

Since you are looking for the best performance for the 14 Pro Max, you gotta look at the charging curve. That phone can actually pull up to about 27W if you use a PD cable, so anything less than a 30W output is gonna be slower than it needs to be. I have been using the Shargeek Storm 2 25600mAh 100W Power Bank for a few months now. It is definitely overkill on capacity, but the transparent design and the built-in IPS display are great for monitoring the actual wattage and battery temps in real time. Basically, it is a data nerds dream. If you want something more portable for MagSafe, the Satechi Quatro Wireless Power Bank 10000mAh is solid because it handles the phone and an Apple Watch at the same time. Personally tho, I usually stick with the Baseus Magnetic Power Bank 10000mAh 20W for daily carry. It hits that sweet spot where it doesnt block the camera lenses on the Pro Max and the magnets are actually strong enough to stay on while it is in your pocket. Usually goes for around 40 dollars and does the job well.

Like someone mentioned earlier, sticking with the big brands is definitely better for peace of mind. i am pretty satisfied with how the convo finally got back to power banks after all that screen protector talk lol. basically the consensus here is that you want at least 27W to 30W output to actually fast charge the 14 pro max. my main caution is just dont buy those super cheap generic ones from random sites. they might save you twenty bucks now but they run hot and can really degrade your battery long term. i am happy staying in that mid-range price point where you get reliability without paying for crazy features you dont actually need for a phone. just stay safe and stick to the brands that actually have proper safety certifications.

Re: "Since you are looking for the best performance..." - i totally agree with that technical breakdown. the 27W peak is really the sweet spot you want to hit for the 14 pro max to actually see those fast charging speeds. i've spent some time digging into the specs because i dont like taking risks with my battery health, and i'm really happy with how these two performed...

  • Ugreen Nexode 10000mAh Power Bank 30W: this is my favorite for speed. it supports the 30W power delivery standard so it charges the pro max as fast as it can possibly go. the thermal management is actually decent too.
  • Belkin BoostCharge Plus 10K: i prefer this one when i'm traveling. it only does 20W but the integrated cables are super convenient and belkin is usually much more conservative with their safety certifications which gives me peace of mind. both of these have worked well for me without any overheating issues. definitely let me know if you want more details on the specific charging times for either one!
