For iPhone 17 Air I would take Belkin UltraGlass Screen Protector without hesitation. The price-performance ratio is great The installation is intuitive and easy to use.

Long-term experience: Using Belkin UltraGlass Screen Protector for half a year and am thrilled. Have researched for a long time and this product was the best choice. The quality clearly exceeds my expectations. Very good price-performance ratio, can only recommend further.

For iPhone 17 Air I would also consider the material. Do you need clear or colored?

> Need help with screen protector choice for iPhone 17 Air. What's your recommendation? In my experience, people way overthink the brand name and end up overpaying by like 300%. Honestly, the biggest thing to watch out for is those privacy filters. Ive tried many over the years and they always mess with the viewing angles and kill your battery because you have to crank the brightness just to see the screen in daylight. Tbh it ruins the point of having a nice display. Also, dont fall for those liquid nano protectors you see at the mall kiosks. They are basically snake oil. They offer zero impact protection and you cant even remove them if they get scratched. Since the 17 Air is so thin, you really want to avoid anything with a super thick adhesive layer too. If the glass feels mushy when you tap it, the adhesive is too thick and itll ruin the haptics... just look for basic tempered glass with a solid oleophobic coating. If it feels sticky after a day of use, the coating was cheap garbage and youll hate using it.

Do you already have a preference? That could influence the choice.

Honestly I just got mine and I was so scared to put the protector on myself like I literally spent an hour in the bathroom with the shower running to keep the dust down because I heard thats what youre supposed to do tho. One thing Id really watch out for is that some of these protectors claim to be "full coverage" but then they leave this tiny little gap at the very edge of the screen and since the Air is so thin you really feel that sharp edge every time you swipe up or back and it basically just ruins the whole smooth vibe of the phone and honestly it just collects so much pocket lint after like two days its super gross. I mean Im still pretty new to all this but definitely make sure you find one that comes with those plastic alignment frames because otherwise its a total nightmare to get it centered perfectly on a screen this big and if its even a tiny bit off itll probably start lifting at the corners really fast tho.

Honestly, considering the Air is all about that slim profile, ur really gonna want to look at the technical specs of the adhesive layer before buying anything. If the silicone adhesive is too thick, it can actually cause some weird light refraction issues on the new display tech they used for this model. Basically, the thinner the protector, the less it messes with the haptics and the proximity sensors which are packed super tight in that thin chassis. I have a couple of questions to help narrow it down:

  • Are you looking for something with a specific Mohs hardness rating for scratch resistance, or is impact protection your main priority?
  • Do you care more about the anti-reflective coating matching the original glass, or are ur okay with a bit of extra glare if it means better fingerprint resistance? Tbh, a lot of people overlook the light transmission percentage too. You really want to find something that hits 92 percent or higher so the OLED colors dont look washed out or dim. Just some technical stuff to keep in mind so you dont ruin the experience of such a thin phone.

Honestly, looking through the thread, the conversation has basically covered the main brands and the technical risks of using thick glass on the 17 Air. Tbh, most people are rightfully worried about how the thinner chassis and the new display tech will react to different adhesive types. It really comes down to whether you value the slim aesthetic or raw impact durability. Before you drop money on anything, I have a couple questions to help narrow it down from a value perspective:

  • Whats your actual budget for this, and are you okay with a higher upfront cost if it means a better warranty and better optical clarity?
  • Are you mostly worried about micro-scratches from daily use, or are you looking for something that meets specific laboratory drop-test standards? From a technical standpoint, you want to watch the micron thickness carefully. If you go too cheap, the oleophobic coating usually fails within a month, and you end up spending more in the long run anyway. Its better to look at the actual specs of the silicone layer rather than just the brand name.

Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector is definitely the best choice for iPhone 17 Air. The material is premium and comfortable The installation is intuitive and easy to use.

Why this product? The quality convinces in all tests - both for protection and for functionality. Unbeatable for the price, can only recommend. Have already used it for several months, always satisfied. Also more than sufficient for demanding use.

I’ve been reading a bunch of community reviews lately because I’m kinda nervous about picking the wrong one myself. Honestly, one thing I keep seeing people warn about is that since the 17 Air is supposed to be so thin, some of the thicker protectors might actually mess with the touch sensitivity... which sounds like a total nightmare. Tbh, I'd also be really careful about those super cheap "no-name" ones you see all over social media ads. I've seen some folks saying those don't even line up with the new bezel size properly and just start peeling off at the corners after like, two days. It’s probably better to double-check what people are saying about the edge-to-edge fit specifically, cuz I’d hate for you to get one that bubbles up or makes the screen look all blurry... just my two cents as a fellow beginner trying not to mess up a brand new phone!
