So basically the consensus is clips are a recipe for disaster on the Fold. I've been doing this for years and honestly, pressure on those screens is a HARD pass. 1. Safety first: stick to adhesive magnetic rings instead of clamps.

Respectfully, I'd consider another option because traditional clip-ons are honestly a recipe for disaster on foldables. I had a moment to think about this and i actually tried a standard universal clip with my Fold last week—the way it squeezed the outer display was sooo sketchy, i legit thought i'd cracked the glass. Instead of a clip, i suggest going with a rigid, screw-tightened system. I'm currently very satisfied using the Moment Universal Lens Mount and it works well because you can adjust the tension precisely without over-pressuring the screen. For those nature shots, the Moment 10x Macro Lens paired with their mount is basically unbeatable. It stays clear of the hinge and I haven't seen any vignetting on the main sensor. Lesson learned: the Fold's frame is thin, so a spring-loaded clip puts all that tension directly on the OLED. The focal length and sensor size on the Fold's main unit are fantastic, but the clearance for the lens mount is tight, so knowing which sensor you're prioritizing is key for getting the right threads to avoid vignetting. You definitely don't need to drop $200 to get pro results! I'm a huge fan of the Ulanzi 1.33X Anamorphic Lens for video because the optical coatings are amazing for the price. It's a total steal. For your nature shots, the Sirui 10x Macro Lens is incredible value and the distortion is basically non-existent. If you grab a 17mm threaded mounting plate and a cheap slim case, you can mount these securely without any of that sketchy clamp drama.
