honestly im so stressed because I just spent a fortune on this Pixel 9 Pro Fold here in London and it feels like a literal toy. I'm terrified of dropping it. my logic was to just get a cheap silicon thing but then I realized the hinge is totally exposed and now im spiraling looking at these $80 cases that might not even fit right. i have a flight for a huge work conference next wednesday and i need this thing armored up. budget isnt really an issue if it actually works but everything looks so flimsy. what are you guys using that doesnt suck and what about inner screen protectors... do i even need one or will i just break the display?

Saw this earlier but just getting home. Honestly, finding a good case for this thing is a nightmare. I spent way too much on a generic brand and the hinge mechanism was so crunchy I thought it was gonna snap the phone. Total waste of money. Then I tried one of those ultra-slim ones but it basically offered zero protection for the camera bump. Not as good as I expected for the price. Since you're heading to a conference, try these:

  • Case-Mate Guardian Case for Pixel 9 Pro Fold - it actually stays on without using tons of adhesive strips.
  • ZAGG InvisibleShield Glass Elite Screen Protector for Pixel 9 Pro Fold - solid for the outer glass. Whatever you do, dont try to double up on the inner screen protector. Adding a second layer will mess with the clearance and probably kill the hinge... just trust the factory film.

I've tried many fold cases over the years and the Spigen Tough Armor Pro P Hinge Protection Case for Pixel 9 Pro Fold actually saved my hinge twice. Dont peel the inner screen film tho.

To add to the point above: honestly you dont need to drop nearly a hundred bucks for peace of mind. I've been super happy with the VRS Design Terra Guard Modern for Pixel 9 Pro Fold because it covers the hinge perfectly and doesnt feel cheap. Im gonna disagree on needing those massive tank-style cases... this one is way more practical. Also, definitely dont touch the factory inner screen film, it stays on.

No way, I literally just dealt with this yesterday. Small world.
