With Black Friday and Cyber Monday just around the corner, I'm on the hunt for some killer deals on Google Pixel phones. Has anyone spotted any amazing discounts yet? I'm particularly interested in the Pixel 9 Pro – any word on potential price drops? Also, I'm thinking of getting a Pixel as a gift for my tech-savvy sister. Any recommendations on which model offers the best value for money? It would be great if we could compare deals from different retailers to find the best bargains.

To add to the point above: honestly, the straight-up discounts on the 9 Pro are probably gonna be a huge letdown. I remember trying to grab the flagship last year and the sale was basically just a small gift card to the store. Not exactly a killer bargain. If youre actually trying to save money, stay away from the brand new stuff. For your sister, the Google Pixel 8a 128GB is way better value. Its got the high refresh rate screen and the same core processing power as the more expensive 8, but costs way less. If you must have a Pro, check out the carrier promos at T-Mobile or AT&T. They usually do those free with trade-in deals, tho the 36-month lock-in is a total drag. If you want zero strings, I always look at Swappa for used Google Pixel 8 Pro 128GB Obsidian units. You can usually find them in perfect condition for hundreds less than retail. The 9 Pro is shiny but the value just isnt there compared to last gen yet...

If you're a Pixel enthusiast like me, you're probably eagerly awaiting the Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals coming up in 2024. While I don't have specifics on the deals for this year, we can make some educated guesses based on what we've seen in previous years.

What to Expect:

  • Pixel 9 Series: Anticipation is high for the Pixel 9 lineup, including the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and the rumored Pixel 9 Pro XL. Based on past trends, we might see significant discounts on these models. The Pro versions could potentially see price cuts of around $200, similar to previous flagship discounts. The standard Pixel 9 might get a decent markdown as well.
  • Previous Generation Pixels: Older models like the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are likely to receive even steeper discounts. Last year, the Pixel 8 Pro saw price reductions of up to $350 off, so if you're considering one of these, Black Friday could be the perfect time to snag a deal.
  • Pixel Fold Series: For those interested in foldable technology, keep an eye on the Pixel Fold. While newer models might not see hefty discounts, the original Pixel Fold could potentially have a price drop of around $400 based on last year's offers.

Where to Look:

Major retailers are your best bet for finding the top deals:

  • Amazon
  • Best Buy
  • Target
  • Walmart

Additionally, don't forget to check out the Google Store itself. They often have competitive deals, especially on unlocked Pixel phones.

Why Black Friday is the Best Time:

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are traditionally the best times to invest in new tech gadgets. Manufacturers and retailers offer significant discounts to boost their holiday sales, and Google is no exception. If you've been thinking about upgrading to a new Pixel phone, late November is typically the ideal time to get the best bang for your buck.

Tips:

  • Stay Updated: Deals can vary between retailers, so it's a good idea to compare prices once the sales begin.
  • Act Fast: The best deals sometimes have limited quantities, so be prepared to make a purchase when you see a great offer.
  • Check for Bundles: Sometimes retailers throw in extras like cases, earbuds, or even store gift cards with your purchase.

Feel free to share any deals you come across or tips on where to find the best offers. Let's help each other get the most out of this year's Black Friday and Cyber Monday!

Happy shopping!
