Hey everyone!

So, the Pixel 8 Pro has been treating me well, but I'm already starting to get that itch for an upgrade. I'm a huge fan of the Pixel camera and the clean Android experience, so I'm definitely sticking with Google for my next phone. I'm particularly eyeing the "XL" version because I really appreciate the larger screen real estate for media consumption and multitasking.

However, I'm on a bit of a budget and I'm really hoping to snag the Pixel 10 Pro XL at the absolute lowest price possible when it launches. I know it's still a ways off, but I wanted to get a head start on hunting for deals. I'm not in a rush, so I'm happy to wait for pre-order bonuses, carrier deals, or even early Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales if they happen to align. I'm also open to buying unlocked or through a carrier, depending on which offers the best savings.

Has anyone here had success finding the best deals on new Pixel Pro models in the past? What are your go-to strategies for scoring the cheapest price on a flagship phone like this? Any tips on when to buy, where to look, or what kinds of deals to anticipate for the Pixel 10 Pro XL?

Really appreciate any advice you can share!

Cheers!

TL;DR - I usually focus on real-world speed and benchmarks because a cheap price doesn't matter if the phone lags. tbh im still kinda new to all the technical specs but I started looking at performance testing lately. I had a moment to think about this and remembered my last upgrade - I was so focused on the deal that I didnt realize the phone would get super hot and slow down whenever I tried to multitask. It was sooo frustrating. I basically ended up doing my own little "stress tests" by running maps and video at the same time just to see if it could handle it. Im really curious if the bigger size of the XL actually helps it stay cooler during heavy use? Like, does that extra space mean better performance benchmarks? Honestly, if youre looking for the best speed for your money, you cant go wrong with just getting any flagship from OnePlus. They always seem to crush the performance tests. Does anyone know if the benchmarks for the new chips are actually looking better this time around? I dont want to find a great price only for it to struggle with basic stuff a year later.

Gonna try this over the weekend. Will report back if it works!

Oh, I totally get the upgrade itch! I was in a similar boat after my Pixel 7 Pro. Honestly, my biggest disappointment with getting a new Pixel has been the launch deals. I was hoping for more with the 8 Pro, but unfortunately, the carrier deals were kind of a mess, and unlocked prices barely budged at first. My best advice? Keep an eye on Google's own store for trade-in offers; they can be surprisingly good if you have an older Pixel to swap. Also, don't discount retailers like Best Buy, they sometimes have their own bundles or gift cards. It's a waiting game, for sure!

Hey there! I totally get that upgrade itch, especially with the Pixel line. While I haven't personally snagged the Pixel 10 Pro XL yet (it's still a bit of a mystery!), I've noticed a pattern with Pixel flagships. Unfortunately, the absolute *lowest* prices usually don't show up right at launch, even with pre-order bonuses. Sometimes, the carriers *do* have decent deals, but you're often locked in. Honestly, waiting a few months post-launch and keeping an eye on unlocked deals from places like Amazon or even Google's own refurbished store can yield better savings. Just a thought!

Hey there! It's awesome you're already thinking about the Pixel 10 Pro XL and hunting for the best deal. I've been in your shoes, and it's definitely a smart move to plan ahead. Since we're a few replies in and folks are talking about pre-order bonuses and refurbished options, I thought I'd offer a slightly different perspective, coming from a more market research angle.

When you're looking for the 'cheapest' price on a flagship, it's not just about waiting for sales. It's also about understanding the competitive landscape. Google Pixel phones, while having that amazing camera and clean Android, often aren't the *absolute* cheapest at launch compared to, say, some of the aggressive pricing from Samsung or even some Chinese manufacturers that focus more on raw specs for the dollar. However, the trade-off with Pixel is that software experience and camera processing – which you clearly value!

Here's what I've noticed historically: The biggest price drops on Pixels tend to happen about 6-9 months after launch, especially around major sale events like Black Friday (which you mentioned) or even Prime Day if Amazon is involved. But, if you *really* want the absolute lowest price and don't mind a slightly different flavor, sometimes looking at *competitor* flagships that are a generation behind when the new Pixel drops can actually be cheaper than a discounted *new* Pixel. For example, when the Pixel 9 Pro XL is out, a Pixel 8 Pro might be heavily discounted, but a Samsung S23 Ultra (if it was the previous gen flagship) might be even *more* discounted and still offer a fantastic, albeit different, experience. It's a different path, but it's about value per dollar.

So, while sticking with Google is your plan, just keep an eye on what other manufacturers are doing. Sometimes a slightly older, but still very capable, flagship from a competitor can hit a much lower price point than a discounted Pixel of the same generation. It's all about where you draw the line on features versus cost. For the Pixel 10 Pro XL specifically, I'd expect early deals to be more about trade-in bonuses or carrier subsidies than outright massive discounts. True price drops often come later. Happy hunting!

Hey there! Jumping in to add a slightly different angle. While pre-order bonuses and early sales are great, don't discount refurbished! I've had fantastic luck snagging previous-gen Pixel Pro models at a significant discount from Google's official refurbished store. They come with a warranty and often look brand new. It's a solid way to get that premium experience for less if you're not dead-set on having the absolute latest model the *moment* it drops. Just something to consider for maximum value!

Hey there! Totally get you wanting to snag the Pixel 10 Pro XL for the best price. It's awesome you're planning ahead! While everyone else is talking about discounts and bonuses, I wanted to chime in with a slightly different angle – focusing on safety and reliability when you finally buy. Honestly, when I'm looking for a new phone, especially a big purchase like a flagship Pixel, I always do a quick check on the seller's reputation. I've seen some sketchy third-party sites pop up offering 'too good to be true' deals, and usually, they are. Sometimes, the 'savings' come with no warranty, or you end up with a device that's been tampered with. So, my biggest tip is to stick to official Google Store, reputable carriers, or well-known retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, etc. It might mean you don't get the *absolute rock-bottom* price on day one, but peace of mind knowing you're getting a legit, reliable device with a proper warranty is SO worth it. I'd rather pay a little more upfront than deal with a headache later! What do you guys think about prioritizing safety over just the lowest price?
