Hey everyone! I just finally pulled the trigger on the Pixel 10 Pro XL, and I’m beyond hyped to get started with it. However, I realized my current drawer is full of old USB-A bricks and flimsy cables that probably won't cut it for the faster charging speeds this phone is capable of. I really want to make sure I’m getting the maximum wattage possible without damaging the battery long-term.

I know Google is pretty particular about using chargers with PPS (Programmable Power Supply) support to hit those top speeds, but I’m a bit overwhelmed by all the options on Amazon. I’m looking for a solid 45W or higher wall plug that is compact enough for travel, and I definitely need some high-quality, braided cables that are at least 6 feet long since the one in the box is always too short for my bedside setup.

Are you guys sticking with the official Google 45W USB-C power adapter, or have you found better third-party alternatives from brands like Anker or Ugreen that actually trigger the 'Charging Rapidly' text every time? What specific charger and cable combo are you currently using to get the absolute fastest top-up times for your Pixel 10 Pro XL?

> I’m looking for a solid 45W or higher wall plug... and I definitely need some high-quality, braided cables Basically, I think you should compare the official plug vs. a solid GaN alternative:
- Google 45W USB-C Power Adapter: The "safe" pick. Reliable but kinda boring for travel.
- Belkin BoostCharge Pro 65W GaN Dual USB-C Wall Charger: Way better imo. Its tiny and charges two things at once.
For cables, the Cable Matters USB-C to USB-C Cable 100W 6.6ft is reallyyy heavy duty and handles the wattage easily. gl!

Most generic bricks have terrible heat management, which highkey degrades your battery long-term. Seconding the recommendation above, but I'd suggest the Baseus 65W GaN5 USB C Charger for better safety and value. I've had issues with cheap ones failing, so pair it with the Satechi USB-C to USB-C 100W Charging Cable 6ft to avoid long-term replacement costs. gl!

Honestly i've been dealing with the exact same mess with my old cables and it was so annoying trying to figure out what actually works! I had a whole drawer of old bricks that were basically paperweights for the Pixel 10 Pro XL... talk about frustrating lol. I'm super cautious about battery health so i was kinda terrified of getting some random cheap brick that would overheat everything. I finally found a setup i love tho!! I grabbed the UGREEN Nexode 45W Dual USB C GaN Charger and it is seriously amazing. Its tiny but hits the max charging speeds perfectly and i dont have to worry about it failing. For my bedside i went with the UGREEN 100W USB C to USB C Cable 6.6ft Braided and the quality is fantastic... way better than that short flimsy thing in the box. Seeing that charging rapidly text pop up instantly is the best feeling!!

Seriously, grab the Spigen ArcStation Pro 45W GaN Wall Charger—it's cheap and handles PPS perfectly! Pair it with Nekteck 100W USB-C to USB-C Cable 6.6ft Braided for highkey the best value rn.

Building on the earlier suggestion about PPS support, I have been using a specific setup for months and I am super satisfied with how it performs. Honestly, the official Google brick is fine but way too bulky if you travel a lot or have tight outlets. Here are a couple things that have worked well for me long-term:

  • Anker 313 Charger Ace 45W: Its super small because of the GaN tech and handles the Pixel power profile perfectly. Never had it fail to trigger the fast charging and it stays pretty cool.
  • uni USB C to USB C Cable 100W 10ft Braided: You asked for 6ft, but seriously consider the 10ft version. It is highkey a lifesaver for bedside use when the outlet is in a weird spot. The braiding is really thick and doesnt fray like the cheap ones. I havent noticed any battery health drops at all using these. Youre gonna love the Pixel 10 Pro XL, its such a beast!

I would suggest looking at Anker or Ugreen for your setup. Honestly, I had issues with my old USB-A bricks too—it was so slow and frustrating... basically, you highkey need PPS (Programmable Power Supply) support to hit those 45W speeds. Just get any long braided cable from those brands and you’re good. They’re super reliable for travel and way cheaper than the official Google stuff, you know? gl!
