Hey everyone! I’m planning to upgrade to the new Pixel 10 Pro soon, and I’m trying to figure out the best wireless charging setup. I know Google usually has specific requirements to hit those maximum charging speeds, so I'm curious if the older Pixel Stand 2 is still the best bet or if there are better third-party options from brands like Anker or Belkin now. I’m especially looking for a stand that won't cause the phone to overheat during a full charge. Also, if anyone knows if the 10 Pro supports Qi2 for magnetic alignment, that would be a huge plus! What wireless chargers are you guys planning to use to get the best performance?

Sooo, I've been looking into this too cuz I'm definitely upgrading as soon as the 10 Pro drops. Honestly, I've had such a frustrating experience with the official Google chargers in the past. I bought the Google Pixel Stand (2nd Gen) thinking it would be the ultimate setup, but unfortunately, it was not as good as expected. The fan gets surprisingly loud at night and my phone would still get highkey hot during long charging sessions, which is basically the worst for battery health. If the Pixel 10 Pro finally supports Qi2 (fingers crossed cuz we've been waiting forever!!), I'd seriously suggest looking at the Anker MagGo Wireless Charging Station (3-in-1 Pad). Qi2 is basically like MagSafe for Android, so the magnetic alignment totally solves that "did I place it right?" anxiety. I've used Anker gear for years and it's usually much more reliable than the first-party stuff... even if Google makes it difficult to hit max speeds. To hit the best performance, it's kinda a trade-off. Google usually throttles third-party chargers to 12W or 15W unless they're "Made for Google" certified. It's a total bummer, but that's why the official stand is still technically the "fastest," even if it runs hot and feels clunky. If you want something that wont cook your phone, maybe try the Belkin BoostCharge Pro Wireless Charging Stand 15W. It's not as fast but stays way cooler in my experience. Anyway, hope that helps! 👍

Totally agree with the above! Official stands run SO hot!! For maximum safety, I’d honestly go with the Anker MagGo Wireless Charger Pad (Qi2) since its thermal monitoring is AMAZING. Pair it with the Anker 511 Charger (Nano 3) to keep the power delivery curve super stable. Safe charging is basically everything for long-term battery health tho, right??
Regarding what #3 said about "Totally agree with the above! Official stands run...", unfortunately I have had many issues with thermal management on these. The reliability of first-party hardware is honestly not as good as expected and it is kinda frustrating... One specific point to consider is the induction coil alignment. Even a minor deviation in placement creates substantial energy loss and excess heat, which basically kills the battery health over time. I dont think the high speed is worth the risk. TL;DR: First-party stands have poor thermal control; seeking out third-party options with active cooling fans is a much better alternative for reliability.
