I just picked up the new Pixel 9 Pro XL, and honestly, this thing is a beauty but feels a bit slippery in hand! Since it's such a big investment, I’m looking for a case that offers solid drop protection without turning it into a total brick. I'm especially curious about options that have a raised lip for that massive camera bar and maybe some extra grip on the sides. I’ve been eyeing brands like Spigen and Mous, but I'm not sure which fits the 9 Pro XL's dimensions best. Has anyone found a case that balances slimness with actual durability? Also, any recommendations for ones that are MagSafe compatible?

yo, congrats! in my experience Spigen basically never misses. for the 9 Pro XL, I'm super satisfied with the Spigen Mag Armor (MagFit) for Google Pixel 9 Pro XL. it works well, has great grip, and covers that massive camera bar perfectly. if ur willing to spend more, the Mous Limitless 5.0 for Google Pixel 9 Pro XL is seriouslyyy slim but tough and MagSafe ready. gl! peace

Respectfully, I'd consider another option because safety is like the #1 priority for a phone this big, right? Not to disagree with the others, but I've had a different experience where Spigen felt a bit too slim for a real drop. If ur looking for serious reliability and a safety-first build, I'm honestly super happy with these instead: * dbrand Grip Case for Google Pixel 9 Pro XL – The grip is literally insane. It uses these microscopic ridges so it wont ever slip, and the MagSafe magnets are actually stronger than most.
* Caseology Athlex for Google Pixel 9 Pro XL – This one has 'integrated joinery' which is a technical way of saying it's two layers fused for better shock absorption. I guess it depends on how much you trust a thin case, but the Dbrand feels way more secure for such a massive camera bar... gl!
