I just pulled the trigger on the new Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold and I am a bit nervous about keeping that massive display safe. Since it is such a unique design, I am wondering what everyone is using for protection.
Are you guys sticking with tempered glass for the outer cover screen, or is a flexible film better to keep the profile slim? I am also curious if any third-party protectors interfere with the inner screen hinge or the factory-installed layer. I really want something that is case-friendly and does not ruin the screen clarity.
Does anyone have a specific brand they trust for foldables that offers a good balance of durability and touch sensitivity?
sooo for the outer screen i definitely recommend amFilm OneTouch Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold cuz it's like $10 for a multipack. super easy to install and literally feels just like the screen itself. i honestly dont think you need expensive brands. also... just leave that inner factory layer alone lol. this setup is totally case-friendly and keeps everything looking clear for cheap. gl!
ngl I tried Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit for Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold vs Whitestone Dome Glass UV Gen. Spigen has better alignment, but Whitestone offers superior optical clarity tho it unfortunately failed me.
To add to the point above: seriously do not mess with the inner screen layer. I have seen way too many people brick their displays trying to be extra safe and it just isnt worth the headache. I have been a bit disappointed with some of the bigger brands lately though. I usually love their stuff but I actually had some issues with the dbrand Prism Screen Protector for Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold this time around. It was not as good as expected because the edges kept catching on my case... super annoying for how much they charge. If you want something more practical i ended up switching to the Caseology Snap Fit Tempered Glass for Pixel 10 Pro Fold. It is basically half the price of the boutique brands and the installation tray actually makes it line up perfectly. Its kind of a bummer that the expensive ones failed me but honestly the Caseology one feels just as smooth. Just skip the overhyped stuff and save your money for a better case lol.
WARNING: Be extremely careful about the inner screen because replacing the factory layer can ruin the display or void ur warranty!! Similar situation here
