Which wireless chargers work best with the new Google Pixel 10 Pro?

Hey everyone! I finally pulled the trigger and got the Google Pixel 10 Pro, and I'm absolutely loving the screen and the camera so far. However, I'm having a bit of a struggle finding the right wireless charger to go with it. My old Samsung pad from a few years ago barely seems to give it any juice, and the phone gets surprisingly warm after just twenty minutes on the mat.

I really want to take advantage of the faster wireless charging speeds that Google advertised for this generation, but I'm a bit confused about which third-party options actually work well. I’ve heard mixed things about whether the older Pixel Stand 2 still hits the max wattage with this new model, or if the coil alignment has shifted enough to cause connection issues with older vertical stands.

Here are a few things I'm specifically looking for:

  • A charger that won't overheat the battery during longer overnight sessions
  • A stand that is powerful enough to work through a standard protective TPU case
  • Something that supports the latest EPP standards for decent speeds without needing a proprietary puck

I've looked at a few different brands, but I'm hesitant to buy something that might just slow-charge at 5W. Has anyone here already tested a few different docks or pads with their 10 Pro? Which wireless chargers are you finding work best for the new Google Pixel 10 Pro?

Totally agree with the point about case thickness—it's usually the main culprit for that heat buildup. If you're like me and worry about long-term battery health, I’d suggest looking at the Belkin BoostCharge Pro 15W Wireless Charging Pad. I’ve been using Belkin for years because they're super reliable and usually have better safety certifications than the generic stuff. It supports the 15W EPP standard so you'll get decent speeds on your 10 Pro without it turning into a literal brick. Another solid choice is the Spigen ArcField Wireless Charger 15W. It’s specifically designed to manage thermals well, which is huge for overnight charging. Just make sure you pair either of these with a good 25W or 30W wall plug so the pad actually gets enough juice. Better to spend a bit more on a trusted brand than risk a $1000 phone on a sketchy mat, honestly.

Adding my two cents! To get decent speeds without the official stand, you really need to look for 15W EPP support or it just slow charges tbh. Quick question though, is your TPU case one of those extra thick ones? That usually causes the heat issues youre seeing. I found the ESR 15W Wireless Charger with CryoBoost works great because the fan helps with thermals and it costs way less than the Google one.

To add to the point above: you basically want to hunt for Extended Power Profile (EPP) labels. If it doesnt say EPP specifically, itll probably crawl at 5W regardless of what the box claims. Heres what Ive found works for a decent price:

  • Spigen ArcField 15W Wireless Charging Pad is basically bulletproof and has a good grip so the phone stays aligned during the night.
  • Ugreen 15W Wireless Charging Pad is super cheap and actually hits the 12W to 15W range on Pixels without getting too toastie. Just a heads up, the power brick matters as much as the pad itself. If youre using an old 5W cube to power a 15W stand, youre gonna have a bad time... standard rookie mistake lol. Make sure you use a PD brick like the Anker 511 Charger Nano 3 30W to actually power the base properly.

Congrats on the 10 Pro! Honestly, if you want the full speed, the Google Pixel Stand 2nd Gen Wireless Charger is still your best bet for hitting max wattage. Most third-party pads like the Anker 313 Wireless Charger Stand 10W will cap out around 12W because of EPP limits, tbh. The built-in fan in the official stand really helps with the overheating you mentioned...

saw this earlier but just getting back to you. wireless charging specs are kinda messy lately, especially with how google handles the epp handshakes. before i dive into some technical specs for pads, are you looking for a flat mat or a vertical stand? also, do you care about fan noise? some of the higher wattage ones have active cooling that can be a bit annoying on a nightstand tbh.

Building on the earlier suggestion, unfortunately, my experience with the charging on this thing has been pretty disappointing so far. Actually tried to DIY a custom mounting solution for my desk using some old components from a previous project, thinking I could skip the expensive retail stuff and get better results...

  • alignment is way more sensitive than my old Pixel
  • heat throttling kicks in almost immediately
  • the software handshake is just super picky Spent half a Saturday trying to shim the phone so the coils lined up perfectly. Even then, it's not as good as expected. My current setup just can't seem to stay at a decent speed without the phone getting toasty and then dropping to a crawl. Really feels like a step back compared to how easy my older gear handled things. Kinda frustrating ngl. It basically feels like unless everything is 100% perfect, the phone just gives up and trickles.

Exactly what I was thinking
