I recently picked up the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, and I'm absolutely blown away by the 125W charging speeds! I'm looking for a second fast charging brick to keep at the office, but I’m struggling to find third-party options that fully support the TurboPower protocol. I've been eyeing some compact GaN chargers from brands like Anker or Ugreen to save space in my bag, but I’m worried they might not actually hit those peak speeds. Does anyone know of specific bricks that are confirmed to work at the full 125W with this phone, or is it safer to just buy another official Motorola one? What are you guys using to get the fastest top-up?

sooo jumping in here! I went through this recently and it’s been a total journey. 1. I tried the Satechi 200W USB-C GaN Desktop Charger thinking it'd be amazing, but basically, I only hit 65W cuz Moto's PPS handshake is sooo picky!
2. Quick tip: If a brick doesn't support a 6.25A PPS profile, you're gonna stay stuck at lower speeds regardless of total wattage. What speeds are you seeing right now? peace 👍

yo, honestly, i've been through this exact headache trying to find a compact travel brick for my Edge 50 Pro. i spent a fortune on fancy gear hoping to hit those 125W speeds, but basically, most third-party stuff is super disappointing. i tried the Baseus 140W GaN5 Pro Fast Charger and while it's a beast for my laptop, it still wouldn't handshake at the full 125W because Moto uses a proprietary 6.25A PPS profile. most GaN chargers are capped at 5A. honestly, save your money and dont bother with the 'universal' ones if you want peak speed. the tech is just too niche right now. i ended up just grabbing another Motorola+TurboPower+125W+Wall+Charger&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Motorola TurboPower 125W Wall Charger for my office. it's actually cheaper than some of the high-end third-party stuff anyway. lesson learned: proprietary tech is a pain, but the official brick is the only way to avoid that 65W throttle. gl!

Regarding what #4 said about "Saved for later, ty!" - definitely worth bookmarking cuz this is a total minefield. Late to the party but I've seen this exact thing happen with every proprietary charging standard over the years. In my experience, even the big players like Belkin BoostCharge Pro 140W 4-Port GaN or the Satechi 165W USB-C 4-Port GaN fall short because they just dont support the 6.25A PPS profile Motorola requires. I've tried many chargers and honestly, it's always the same story... the brick has the raw power, but the handshake fails and you end up at 65W or less. I even messed around with the Sharge Shargeek 170 Charger hoping for a miracle but no dice on the full 125W. Its kinda annoying how these brands gatekeep the speeds with specific amperage requirements. Quick tip tho: always verify the PPS range on the box says it can handle over 6A, not just 5A. Most GaN chargers stop at 5A. Also, make sure you're using a high-quality cable like the Cable Matters USB4 240W Cable to make sure there's no bottleneck. Stick with it tho, the phone is a beast once you get the power sorted!

TL;DR: Honestly, just get another official brick if you want that full 125W speed. Most third-party ones cap out way lower because of how Motorola handles their PPS protocol. So basically, I've been messing with chargers for years, but this 125W stuff is kinda new to me too. For your situation, I would suggest sticking with the official gear. I tried using my Anker 737 Charger GaNPrime 120W and its fast, but it definitely doesnt hit those crazy peak speeds like the one in the box. Comparison:
Option A: Motorola+125W+TurboPower+Wall+Charger&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Motorola 125W TurboPower Wall Charger - Pros: Hits full 125W, safe. Cons: Harder to find.
Option B: Ugreen Nexode 140W GaN Desktop Charger - Pros: Multi-port. Cons: Likely caps at 68W or 100W on Moto. Id say be careful with GaN bricks like the Anker 736 Charger Nano II 100W... they're great for laptops but might not handshake correctly for 125W TurboPower. gl!
