Hey everyone! I just picked up the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra and I'm absolutely loving the performance, but I really need a spare charger for my office. Since this phone supports that crazy 125W TurboPower charging, I want to make sure I’m getting something that can actually handle those speeds without damaging the battery. Are there any reliable third-party GaN chargers that work well with Moto's proprietary tech, or should I just stick to the official brick? I'm also hoping for something a bit more compact for when I'm traveling. Has anyone tested specific brands like Anker or Ugreen with this model? What are you guys using to get the fastest top-up?
Yo, congrats on the Edge 50 Ultra!! That phone is actually amazing and those charging speeds are highkey insane. So basically, you gotta know that Motorola+uses+a+specific+PPS&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Motorola uses a specific PPS (Programmable Power Supply) implementation to hit those 125W speeds. Why this matters is because most standard chargers cap out at 5 Amps, but Moto needs higher current for the full 125W experience. If you use a charger that doesn't support the right PPS range, itll probably drop down to 60W or something wierd. If you want a third-party GaN option that wont fry your battery, I highkey recommend the Anker 737 Charger GaNPrime 120W. I've used it for my gear and it handles the TurboPower protocol reallyyy well, even if it doesn't hit the absolute peak of the stock brick, it's still way faster than any regular charger!! For travel, the Ugreen Nexode Pro 100W 3-Port GaN Fast Charger is super compact and fits easily in a bag... seriously it's tiny. Ngl, the official Motorola+TurboPower+125W+Wall+Charger&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Motorola TurboPower 125W Wall Charger is realy the only way to get 100% speed because of the proprietary handshake, but these are fantastic alternatives. Just make sure you're using a high-quality 100W+ cable like the Anker 765 USB-C to USB-C Cable 140W Nylon so you dont bottleneck the power flow. Honestly, the official brick is great but these GaN ones are sooo much better for the office! gl!
