I just picked up the new Motorola Edge 60 Pro and I am absolutely loving the performance so far. However, I really need a second charging setup for my office and a much longer cable for my bedside table. Since this phone supports incredibly fast 125W TurboPower charging, I want to make sure I am buying gear that can actually handle those speeds without damaging the battery.

I have been looking at brands like Anker or Ugreen, but I am a bit confused about whether they fully support Motorola's specific fast-charging standards. Does anyone have experience using third-party chargers with this model? Also, are there any specific 100W+ rated cables that you would recommend for durability?

What chargers and cables are you all using to get the fastest speeds on your Edge 60 Pro?

Hey! Honestly, for your situation, i suggest checking out Ugreen to save some serious cash.

  • UGREEN Nexode 100W USB C Wall Charger (around $45)
  • UGREEN 100W USB C to USB C Cable 10ft (around $12) Basically, make sure the brick has PPS (Programmable Power Supply) support! You wont hit the full 125W proprietary speed, but 100W is seriously AMAZING for this price. gl!

Sooo coming back to this because I want to add some technical context on how these high-wattage handshakes actually work. Honestly, hitting that 125W mark on the Edge 60 Pro is kinda tricky with third-party gear because Motorola+uses+a+proprietary+i&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Motorola uses a proprietary implementation of PPS (Programmable Power Supply). Basically, PPS allows the phone to request tiny adjustments in voltage and current in real-time to keep heat down. If the charger and phone dont speak the exact same language, it usually defaults to a safer, slower speed like 45W or 65W to protect the battery. Since you mentioned being worried about battery health, my conservative advice is to always look for USB-IF certified hardware. There is a great resource at the official USB-IF website where you can look up certified Power Bricks to ensure they meet the highest safety standards. When you are shopping, look for these specific things:

  • PD 3.0 or 3.1 compliance
  • PPS support with a wide voltage range (usually up to 21V)
  • 5A E-Marker chips in any cable rated over 60W For the hardware itself, while Ugreen was already mentioned, I highkey recommend looking at Anker 737 Charger GaNPrime 120W for the office. It is super reliable and has a great reputation for safety, though keep in mind it might not hit the full 125W—youll probably see closer to 100W max in real-world use. For that bedside table cable, you definitely need a 5A rated cable. I have had good luck with the Anker 765 USB-C to USB-C Cable 140W 10ft because it is built like a tank and handles the current without overheating. Another decent option is the Baseus 140W GaN5 Pro Fast Charger which supports the newer PD 3.1 standards. Just be careful with 10ft cables at high speeds; resistance can cause a bit of voltage drop, so the phone might throttle charging slightly to stay safe. Better to be safe than sorry when dealing with that much power tho! Good luck with the setup!

PPS tech uses variable voltage, so cables need an E-marker chip to work safely. Quick question: is hitting that full 125W at the office actually worth the extra cost to you?
