I just picked up the new Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, and honestly, this phone is a beauty—especially with that curved display and the unique back finishes. However, I’m having a bit of a hard time finding a car mount that feels secure enough for it. Since it's a relatively large device with a 6.7-inch screen, I’m worried about it wobbling or, worse, falling off when I hit a pothole.

I’ve been looking at both vent mounts and dashboard suction options, but I’m curious if anyone has found one that doesn't interfere with the curved edges or press the side buttons accidentally. Also, since this phone supports super-fast wireless charging, I’m wondering if there are any compatible motorized mounts that can actually keep up with its power needs without overheating. I’d prefer to stay under $60, but I'm willing to pay a bit more for something high-quality that won't damage the vents or leave sticky residue on the dash.

Does anyone have a specific brand or model they’re using for their Edge 50 Ultra that provides a perfect fit? I'd love to hear about your setups!

Sooo, for your Edge 50 Ultra, safety is literally the biggest thing cuz that curved glass is basically a slip hazard, right? I'd suggest lookin at the Lamicall Car Vent Phone Mount Holder if you want something that grips tight without touching those side buttons. But if you're worried about heat during fast charging, maybe check out the ESR Magnetic Wireless Car Charger (HaloLock) with a universal ring? It has a built-in fan that's actually pretty decent for keeping temps down while you drive. Just gotta be careful with the vent clips, make sure they're locked in tight!! gl!

Similar situation here - I've been through so many mounts over the years it's actually kinda depressing lol. Honestly, I learned the hard way that cheaping out on a 6.7-inch phone like the Edge 50 Ultra is a bad move. I used to use those basic $15 vent clips but they always ended up sagging or snapping my vent slats because the phone is just too heavy.

I went through a couple of setups before finding what actually worked without blocking the curved screen or hitting those side buttons:

1. ESR Magnetic Wireless Car Charger (HaloLock) vs LISEN MagSafe Car Mount for Dashboard
- The ESR one is great if you use a MagSafe-compatible case, but honestly, it was kinda pricey and the charging speed wasn't as fast as I'd hoped for a Motorola+device&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Motorola device.
- The LISEN option was way better for my budget. It's super sturdy, but you gotta be careful with the adhesive on textured dashes.

Basically, I realized that if you want that fast charging without the phone overheating, you really gotta look for something with decent airflow. Just my experience tho, good luck!!

Honestly, I totally get being cautious with that Edge 50 Ultra. I've been using it for a while and since it's basically a 6.7-inch glass slab, you really don't want it flying across the cabin when you hit a bump. For your budget, I'd HIGHLY recommend the iOttie Easy One Touch 6 Dash & Windshield Mount. It's usually around $25-$30, so it's super cost-effective while being incredibly secure.

Here is why it works for this specific phone:

* The side arms are adjustable, so they won't crush those curved edges or trigger the power button accidentally.
* The bottom foot is adjustable too, which is huge for keeping the charging port clear.
* It uses a sticky suction gel that doesn't leave a nasty residue if you peel it off carefully.

If you want that fast wireless charging, maybe check out the CHOOZE 15W Qi Motorized Auto-Clamping Car Mount. It's about $45 and the motorized arms feel pretty high-end for the price. Just a heads up though, 15W is the standard max for most mounts; keeping up with Motorola's proprietary 50W wireless speeds without a massive cooling fan is basically impossible in a hot car. But yeah, the iOttie is my daily driver cuz it's just safer. gl!

Tbh, totally agree about the heat management mentioned earlier—it’s CRITICAL for the Edge 50 Ultra. After having mine for a while, I’ve noticed that since it’s basically a performance beast, the internal resistance gets pretty high if ur using GPS and charging simultaneously. If your mount blocks the back panel too much, the thermal throttling kicks in and your charging rate just tanks to like, 5W. Also, a technical tip from someone who's used it daily: keep an eye on the ball-joint tension. The phone is heavy enough that over several months of hitting potholes, cheaper plastic joints will definitely start to sag. Definitely prioritize a mount with a reinforced locking nut to handle that 6.7-inch weight long-term. Works way better.
