Hey everyone! I just upgraded to the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra and I’m absolutely loving the phone so far, but I’m struggling to find the perfect wireless earbuds to pair with it. Since this phone supports advanced codecs like LDAC and Snapdragon Sound, I really want to take full advantage of that high-res audio. I primarily use them for my daily commute, so solid active noise cancellation (ANC) is a must, and a decent mic for work calls would be a huge plus. I’ve looked at a few options but I'm torn between staying in the Moto ecosystem or going with a third-party brand. What are your top recommendations for earbuds that play nicely with the Edge 50 Ultra's features?

I've been using that phone for a few weeks and honestly, the Snapdragon Sound support is the real deal. In my experience, if you want to stay in the ecosystem, the Motorola+Moto+Buds%2B+with+Sound+by+Bose&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Motorola Moto Buds+ with Sound by Bose are the way to go. They’re specifically tuned for Moto, and the ANC is surprisingly good for the daily commute... it basically blocks out most of the city noise. But if youre really into high-res audio like I am, you gotta try the Sony WF-1000XM5 Noise Canceling Wireless Earbuds. Ive tried many buds over the years, and these handle LDAC beautifully on the Edge 50. The ANC is literally the best i've used, so it kills engine drone on the train. Also, the Sennheiser+Momentum+True+Wireless+4&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4 is another beast for Snapdragon Sound specs if you want that crisp detail. Idk, maybe try the Moto ones first if you want that easy pairing? good luck!!

Late to the party, but I'd actually suggest a different approach - focus on value instead of chasing big flagship names. Honestly, spending $300+ on buds is kinda risky cuz those tiny batteries always degrade in two years, right? Ur better off with the Soundcore Liberty 4 NC which offers LDAC and stellar ANC for a fraction of the cost. Alternatively, look at the EarFun Air Pro 4 since it actually supports Snapdragon Sound and aptX Lossless without the premium markup. I've had issues with expensive gear failing just out of warranty, so sticking to these high-performance, budget-friendly options is much safer for ur wallet... trust me. Idk why people overpay for the same codecs. Avoid the overpricing and enjoy the high-res audio for less!! gl

tbh I've spent way too much time looking at frequency response graphs over the years. one thing I've learned is that people ignore the hardware handshake. If you're on a phone like the Edge 50 Ultra, you're basically driving a Ferrari... dont put cheap tires on it by getting buds that only support basic AAC.

  • avoid anything that doesn't mention the specific Snapdragon Sound version.
  • watch out for buds with weak battery ratings when ANC is actually turned on.
  • stay away from brands that hide their codec info deep in the manual. i once bought some high-end ones that claimed high-res support, but they constantly stuttered because the implementation was buggy as hell. it's super frustrating when the tech doesn't match the marketing hype. basically, check the actual bitrates before you pull the trigger or you're just wasting that phone's potential.
