I just picked up the Motorola Razr Plus (2024) and I am terrified of scratching that gorgeous outer screen. I am looking for something that offers solid hinge protection without being too bulky to fit in my pocket.

Has anyone tried the Spigen or Poetic cases yet? What are the best protective cases you have found so far?

Sooo I remember when I first got my foldable and I was LITERALLY checking the hinge every five minutes for micro-scratches... lol. I'm a total nerd about mechanical tolerances and impact dispersal, so I dove deep into the technical specs before buying anything. For your situation, I would suggest checking these out:

  • Motorola+Razr+Plus+2024&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">OtterBox Defender Series XT for Motorola Razr Plus 2024: This is basically the gold standard for safety. It has military-grade drop protection and a hinge cover that actually stays flush when you open it. TBH the polycarbonate build is top-tier and it's super reliable.
  • Motorola+Razr+Plus+2024&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">UAG Plyo Series Case for Motorola Razr Plus 2024: I really like the reinforced corners on this one. It uses a TPU bumper that absorbs shock like a champ. It's kinda perfect because it's clear but still feels rugged enough to handle a drop. Basically, you gotta look at material density to ensure the hinge is shielded from lateral impacts. I've been very happy with these and I dont have any complaints. GL!

Just sharing my experience: i spent a while analyzing hinge specs cuz i was worried. Comparing Motorola+Razr+Plus+2024&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">VRS Design Terra Guard Modern for Motorola Razr Plus 2024 vs Motorola+Razr+Plus+2024&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Araree Nukin 360 for Motorola Razr Plus 2024 was eye-opening. The VRS has a rugged spring-loaded mechanism, while the Araree is a slim polycarbonate. Best choice for me was the Araree since it fits in my pocket without the extra bulk. It works well and im super satisfied!!

For your situation, i would suggest checking out the Motorola+Razr+Plus+2024&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Poetic Spartan Case for Motorola Razr Plus 2024 because it is seriously amazing for the price!! I am still kinda new to the technical side of foldables but i have been digging into the specs and this one uses a rugged polycarbonate shell that feels super solid. Ngl, i was terrified about the hinge too but this case has a sliding cover that protects the mechanism really well without adding too much bulk... like, it still fits in my jeans pocket just fine! Actually, i think the Poetic is a better budget deal than the Motorola+Razr+Plus+2024&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Spigen Tough Armor Pro designed for Motorola Razr Plus 2024 right now. While the Spigen is great, it costs like $55 or $60, while you can usually find the Motorola+Razr+Plus+2024&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Poetic Spartan Case for Motorola Razr Plus 2024 for around $26.95 which is a fantastic price for full coverage. If u want to go even cheaper and dont mind losing the hinge cover, the Motorola+Razr%2B+2024&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Foluu Slim Fit Case for Motorola Razr+ 2024 is basically only $11.99 and it keeps the phone really slim while protecting against scratches. But yeah, for total peace of mind, the Poetic is the way to go cuz it even has a built-in screen protector for that gorgeous outer display! I love it so much because i dont have to worry about my keys scratching that screen anymore. The technical specs say it uses impact-resistant TPU too so it should handle drops really well. I hope this helps u out!! gl!

Just sharing my experience: Similar situation here

  • I agree that focusing on value is the way to go. I get the fear of scratches, but over the years I’ve realized you dont need to spend a ton to keep the hinge safe. I actually found that thinner, cheaper options often fit my pockets better anyway. It’s all about finding that value sweet spot... ngl, the budget brands often surprise me!
