Which car mounts fit the Motorola Razr+ (2025) while folded?

Hey everyone! I’m super excited about picking up the new Motorola Razr+ (2025), especially with that gorgeous, massive outer display. One of the main reasons I got it was to use the external screen for quick things like Spotify and Google Maps while driving, without having to flip the whole thing open every time I get in the car.

However, I’ve run into a bit of a snag finding a car mount that actually works with the phone in its folded state. Most of the gravity or side-clamping mounts I’ve seen are built for "tall" smartphones. Since the Razr+ is basically a thick little square when closed, it either sits way too low in the cradle or the side arms press right against the volume buttons. I’m also a bit worried about the thickness—it’s quite a bit chunkier when folded compared to a standard slab phone, and I don't want it popping out on a bumpy road.

I’ve looked into some magnetic options, but I’m not sure if the internal magnets are strong enough or if I’ll need to stick an unsightly metal ring on the back. Has anyone found a specific brand or model that grips the 2025 Razr+ securely while it's folded? I'd really love to find something that doesn't block the external screen but still keeps it stable. What mounts are you guys using for your flip phones?

For your situation: Lamicall Magnetic Car Phone Mount vs iOttie Easy One Touch 6 Dashboard & Windshield Universal Car Mount Holder. Magnetic wins on 15mm thickness specs! Amazing, but maybe ur magnets arent enough?

This^ Also wanted to add my two cents! Seconding the recommendation above regarding magnetic mounts—honestly, they're the only way to avoid that annoying 'button-crushing' issue you mentioned. I've been a total geek about car safety ever since a mount failed on me during a highway merge, so I'm SUPER cautious about things flying around the cabin. Seriously, a heavy phone like the Razr+ (2025) becomes a projectile if the mount isn't rock solid!

Coming back to this after checking my own gear, here is how I’d rank your options from a safety-first perspective:

1. **The MagSafe Hack (Best Stability):** Since the internal magnets are kinda weak for heavy bumps, I HIGHLY recommend sticking the ESR MagSafe Ring 360 HaloLock Universal Magnetic Ring onto a slim case. Then, pair it with the Belkin MagSafe Car Vent Mount PRO. It's actually designed to Apple's standards, so the grip is insane. This way, you don't block the external screen at all!

2. **The Professional Route:** If you want zero risk, look at the Motorola+Razr+Plus&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">ProClip Center Mount for Motorola Razr Plus. ProClip is basically the industry standard because they make custom-fit bases for your specific car dash. You can get an adjustable holder that grips the sides but is shallow enough to avoid the volume rockers. It's expensive but literally won't budge.

3. **The Tray Approach:** Since the folded Razr is basically a thick square, I’ve seen people use the Topfit Silicone Car Dash Cell Phone Mount. It’s a rubberized friction mat that sits on your dash. No arms to press buttons, and it handles the thickness like a champ.

Whatever you pick, just make sure it's rated for at least 15mm thickness cuz that's where most slab-phone mounts fail. Having a phone fly at your face during a hard brake is the worst lol. Gl with the new phone, it's such a BEAUTIFUL device!! peace 👍

I totally get the magnet hype, but honestly, I'm not a fan of sticking metal rings to my phone... it just ruins the vibe and can mess with wireless charging. Instead of buying a whole new specialized mount, I actually did a little 'semi-DIY' tweak to a standard cradle that works perfectly. I used a Beam Electronics Universal Car Air Vent Mount and basically 'shimmed' the bottom rest with a small piece of high-density foam I had lying around. This lifts the folded Razr+ just enough so the side arms grip the chassis below the volume buttons. It's a super cheap fix and feels way more secure than those magnetic ones on bumpy roads. Sometimes a tiny modification to a solid, cheap mount works way better than trying to find a perfect 'out of the box' solution that doesn't really exist for flip phones yet.

I'm still pretty new to the Razr+ (and flip phones in general), but I tried to go the DIY route to save some cash and it was honestly a total mess. I thought I could basically make my own little 'cradle' using some heavy-duty mounting tape and a plastic bracket I found at a craft store, but I didn't realize how heavy this thing feels when it's all compact like that. Like, the weight distribution is so weird compared to my old slab phone. The first time I took a sharp turn, the whole DIY setup just peeled right off the dash. It almost hit my passenger and left this gross, sticky residue on my trim that I'm still trying to get off. I'm super worried about damaging the screen or the car now. So if ur looking at 'self-service' or DIY hacks, just be really careful. I thought I was being smart, but I almost broke a $1,000 phone because I didn't trust a professional mount. Has anyone else had issues with adhesives not holding the extra thickness? I'm kind of scared to try anything else that isn't bolted down or something, but I don't want to drill into my car either.
