I just got the Motorola Edge 60 Pro and I need a wireless charger for my desk at the office ASAP—battery life is fine but I'm on calls all day. I've been looking at the official Motorola 50W TurboPower stand (it's pricey though) and the Belkin BoostCharge Pro. I read online that Moto uses proprietary tech for the full 50W speeds, so I'm worried the Belkin will be way too slow for my workflow. I need something that won't overheat while I'm using the phone as a webcam—a big requirement for me. Which one actually hits the top speeds without killing the battery health? Oh, I also saw a Spigen one but heard it’s finicky with cases...

So funny you ask this — last month I tried a generic pad during a marathon meeting and the battery actually dropped. I bought the <a href=" https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw= Motorola+50W+TurboPower+Wireless+Charging+Stand&_sacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p4624852.m570.l1311&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5337998953&customid=22&toolid=10001&mkevt=1" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Motorola 50W TurboPower Wireless Charging Stand for $60. It is the only option that delivers the full 50W. The integrated fan keeps the phone cool while using the camera. Third-party chargers like the Belkin BoostCharge Pro 15W won't keep up.
> I need something that won't overheat while I'm using the phone as a webcam—a big requirement for me. ngl this comes up a lot so search the forum for the older threads but the short answer is you dont really have a choice if you want it to actually WORK while youre on calls. the <a href=" https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw= Motorola+50W+TurboPower+Wireless+Charging+Stand&_sacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p4624852.m570.l1311&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5337998953&customid=22&toolid=10001&mkevt=1" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Motorola 50W TurboPower Wireless Charging Stand is pricey for a reason... it uses a proprietary handshake to get those 50W speeds and it HAS to have that fan running or the phone will just thermal throttle immediately. i use mine as a webcam for hours and that fan is the only thing keeping the phone from melting tbh. its lowkey a bit noisy in a silent room but totally worth it for the speed. if you go with the Belkin BoostCharge Pro 15W youre gonna be disappointed. its a quality piece of hardware but without active cooling the phone will just safety-limit the charging speed to like 5W once the sensor hits a certain temp. your battery will probably just stay flat or even drop slowly while the camera is active. also i tried the Spigen ArcField 15W Wireless Charger and the coil alignment is super picky... if you have a case with any kind of texture it just wont stay connected. just bite the bullet and get the official stand. its the only way to actually hit the top speeds and keep the battery health from tanking due to heat... everything else is just a compromise.
Oh man, I literally just saw this—totally my thing because I’ve wasted so much cash on gear. I tried the Spigen ArcField 15W Wireless Charger and even an old Anker 313 Wireless Charger 10W Stand—both were disasters for webcam mode.
