Hey everyone! I’ve got a big international trip coming up next month, and I’m a bit nervous about taking my OnePlus Open along without the right gear. Since it's such a unique (and expensive!) piece of tech, I want to make sure I’m fully prepared for long flights and heavy sightseeing days.
I'm specifically looking for a solid power bank that can actually keep up with the Open’s fast charging speeds—standard 10W chargers just won't cut it when I'm using GPS and taking photos all day. Also, does anyone have a recommendation for a slim but protective case that doesn't ruin the folding experience? I’m also struggling to find a car mount that securely holds the phone while it's unfolded, which would be a lifesaver for navigation in my rental car.
I've done some digging, but most generic 'travel kits' don't really account for the specific needs of a foldable device. I really want to avoid any accidental drops or running out of juice while I'm out exploring a new city. What are your absolute 'must-have' travel accessories for the OnePlus Open that have made your trips smoother? Any specific brands or products you swear by?
+1 to the 65W suggestion. Tbh, these work best:
- Anker 737 Power Bank (PowerCore 24K)
- Loncaster Silicone Car Phone Holder
Theyre decent options that handle the folding tech well.
sooo i've been using my open for a few months now and honestly safety is the biggest thing for me... especially when traveling. foldables are like, reallyyy fragile lol. basically, you need gear that accounts for the hinge and the power draw of that massive screen.
for charging, i'm super satisfied with the Baseus Adaman 65W 20000mAh Power Bank. it's a bit more cost-effective than other premium brands but it actually handles the high-wattage output needed to charge while using GPS. for protection, i think the OnePlus+Open&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Poetic Spartan Series for OnePlus Open is a solid choice cuz it has dedicated hinge protection and a built-in kickstand. i feel way safer with it on. for the car, try the APPS2Car Universal Tablet Car Mount for Dashboard. it's sturdy enough to hold the weight when the phone is fully unfolded. it works well and keeps things secure. hope this helps and have a great trip! peace
Here's what I recommend: honestly you reallyyy need a 65W PD power bank. I'd stick with the official case - protection is CRITICAL for that hinge... basically dont risk it with expensive tech!
