Hey fellow OnePlus fans! I finally pulled the trigger and picked up the OnePlus Open a few weeks ago, and honestly, I’m obsessed with the hardware. That inner screen is a total game-changer for my productivity while I'm commuting, but I’ve run into a bit of a "power" struggle. As much as I love this device, the battery drain is real when you’re pushing that large display at full brightness and multitasking, and my current portable chargers just aren't cutting it.

I’m coming from a standard slab phone where any old Power Delivery (PD) power bank would do the trick, but the OnePlus Open seems to be a different beast entirely. I tried using my high-end 100W PD laptop power bank yesterday, and even though it's technically a powerful unit, the phone seemed to be charging at a snail's pace—probably only drawing 18W or maybe 27W at most. It’s pretty frustrating because I’ve become so spoiled by that incredible 67W SuperVOOC speed from the included wall charger that anything less feels like it takes an eternity to top up.

I’ve done a bit of digging, and I know OnePlus uses that proprietary SuperVOOC protocol which makes finding compatible third-party accessories a total nightmare. I’ve seen some mentions of older official OnePlus-branded power banks, but they seem to be discontinued or limited to much lower wattages. I’ve also heard whispers that some Oppo or Realme power banks might be cross-compatible since they share the same underlying tech, but I'm hesitant to import something from overseas without knowing if it actually works for our specific foldable.

I’m looking for something that can actually trigger the "Ultra Fast Charging" animation or at least get me a significant chunk of battery in a quick 20-minute session. Portability is a plus, but I’m willing to carry a heavier brick if it means I don’t have to stay tethered to a wall outlet at a coffee shop for an hour.

Does anyone here have a specific power bank they’re using that reliably fast-charges the OnePlus Open at or near its max supported speeds? If you've found a model that actually works, I’d love to hear your recommendations!

In my experience, if u want that 67W speed, ur basically forced into the BBK ecosystem. Most "fast" PD bricks just default to 18W on OnePlus+hardware+tbh&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">OnePlus hardware tbh. I would suggest:
- OPPO+SUPERVOOC+80W+Power+Bank+12000mAh&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">OPPO SUPERVOOC 80W Power Bank 12000mAh: Best bet for "Ultra Fast" charging animations.
- OnePlus+100W+SUPERVOOC+Power+Bank+12000mAh&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">OnePlus 100W SUPERVOOC Power Bank 12000mAh: Newer official option, though stock is hit or miss. Stick to these brands cuz standard tech just wont cut it... gl!

In my experience testing these for years, compare the OPPO+SUPERVOOC+80W+Power+Bank+12000mAh&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">OPPO SUPERVOOC 80W Power Bank 12000mAh vs the Anker 737 Power Bank (PowerCore 24K) 24000mAh 140W vs the Baseus Adaman Power Bank 65W 20000mAh. Standard PD bricks are reliable but slow, while only the Oppo unit hits 80W SuperVOOC speeds properly. Honestly, the Oppo is the ONLY choice if you want that "Ultra Fast" animation... gl!

Seconding that! Honestly, just stick with any official Oppo+gear+for+the+peace+o&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Oppo gear for the peace of mind. Yeah, they're worth the price cuz they run way cooler and safer than generic stuff for ur battery.

Story time: I compared these:
- Oppo+33W+Power+Bank+10000mAh&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Oppo 33W Power Bank 10000mAh: cheap
- OnePlus+100W+SuperVOOC+Power+Bank&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">OnePlus 100W SuperVOOC Power Bank: pricey
The 33W is better value and your still getting fast speeds imo.
