Which screen protectors work best for the OnePlus Open?

Hey everyone! I just picked up the OnePlus Open and I’m absolutely loving it, but I’m a bit nervous about keeping these screens pristine. The pre-installed outer film is already a total fingerprint magnet, so I’m looking for a solid upgrade. I’m specifically wondering if tempered glass for the outer display interferes with most cases or affects the folding clearance. Also, has anyone found a high-quality replacement for the inner screen protector, or is it better to stick with the factory one to avoid damaging the panel? I really want something that’s easy to apply without those annoying bubbles. Does anyone have a specific brand recommendation that fits perfectly and feels like the original glass?

So basically the consensus is:
- Front screen? Go for glass.
- Inner screen? Don't touch it!! I’m pretty cautious with these foldable screens, but if ur on a budget, look at OnePlus+Open+3-Pack&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Orzero Tempered Glass for OnePlus Open 3-Pack. It’s only about $12 and works great without breaking the bank like the ones mentioned earlier. Just be careful with the alignment... i've had bubbles before and they're the worst. gl!

> pre-installed outer film is already a total fingerprint magnet I highkey ruined a screen cuz the Poetic Guardian Case lifted my film. I'd suggest AACL Glass Screen Protector after knowing ur case... Safety first! What are u using?

Honestly, OnePlus+Open&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">dbrand Tempered Glass for OnePlus Open is way better than the Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit. But dont touch the inner screen... unfortunately, most replacements are just wierd and not as good as expected!

Checking in here with some quick tips for the nervous

  • Use OnePlus+Open&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Mohave Auto-Alignment Screen Protector for OnePlus Open for the front; it's way more precise than the Orzero packs.
  • Never touch the inner film, it's just not worth the risk. Honestly I'm getting so protective of this thing that I've started carrying a Giottos Rocket Air Blaster in my bag to blow dust out of the hinge area whenever I'm out. My friends think I'm being way too extra but those repairs aren't cheap... anyway, those are my picks.

Seconding the recommendation above! Jumping in here cuz honestly, these screens use ultra-thin glass (UTG) layers for flexibility, and messing with the factory adhesive is super risky. I had issues with a generic film peeling and it was NOT as good as expected... - Go with Whitestone for the front.
- Get any matte film from Supershieldz.
- NEVER touch the inner one. Actually, has anyone else had issues with the hinge clearance? Basically, third-party inner protectors are highkey disappointing. gl!

I've been tinkering with my Open for a few weeks now and finally found a setup that works well without any case clearance issues. Tinkering with my own tech is kinda my thing, so I usually try a few options before settling on one.

  • Go for the <a href=" https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=Ibywind+Screen+Protector+for+ OnePlus+Open+2+Pack&_sacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p4624852.m570.l1311&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5337998953&customid=22&toolid=10001&mkevt=1" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Ibywind Screen Protector for OnePlus Open 2 Pack for the outer display. It includes a physical alignment kit which is basically a lifesaver for getting it perfectly centered.
  • Seriously, leave that inner protector exactly where it is. The factory one is applied in a dust-free lab, and trying to replicate that at home is just gonna be a headache. If youre worried about dust during the application, just do it in the bathroom after running a hot shower for a minute. The steam keeps the dust from floating around and landing on your screen mid-install. No complaints so far with this method!
