Hey guys! I’m finally upgrading to the S25 Ultra, but I’m honestly terrified of dropping such an expensive device. I tend to be pretty clumsy, so I need something that can handle a fall onto concrete without shattering the screen or scuffing that new titanium frame.

I’m specifically looking for:

  • A durable case that isn’t too bulky for one-handed use
  • A tempered glass protector that works perfectly with the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor

I’ve had bad luck with protectors peeling off in the past, so I’m looking for high-quality suggestions. What cases and screen protectors are you guys buying to keep your new S25 Ultra safe?

Hey, just adding my thoughts here since I saw the first recommendation. Honestly, if you are really worried about dropping a phone this expensive onto concrete, I would actually steer away from the basic Spigen stuff. Its okay for light use, but for actual high-impact protection, I have had much better luck with the Mous Limitless 5.0 Aramid Fiber Case for Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. It uses this AiroShock technology which is basically tiny air pockets that absorb impact energy way better than standard TPU. It feels way more solid against the titanium frame without feeling like a total brick in your hand. Quick tip for the screen protector: skip the standard tempered glass that only has adhesive on the edges or uses the little circle cutouts. They almost always mess with the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor or look ugly. You really want to go with Whitestone Dome Glass UV Liquid Tempered Glass for Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. The technical reason is that the liquid adhesive fills every microscopic gap between the glass and the screen. This is huge because the ultrasonic sensor needs that solid contact to read your print properly. Its a bit of a process to install with the UV light and all, but once its on, it wont peel and the sensor feels basically native. Just make sure to re-scan your prints after the install and toggle on the touch sensitivity setting in your display options. It makes a world of difference, ngl.

Ive always gone with the Spigen Rugged Armor Matte Black Case S25 Ultra because it handles drops without being like a brick in your pocket. For the screen, the amFilm OneTouch Tempered Glass Protector S25 Ultra 2-Pack is the best practical choice. It comes with an easy install tray and I havent had any issues with the fingerprint sensor being slow at all.

Coming back to this thread after checking some new spec sheets. I have spent way too much time analyzing drop ratings and material density since the S10 days. In my experience, the sharp corners on the S25 Ultra are the biggest failure points during a concrete impact, so you need a case with reinforced internal ribs. I've tried many over the years and usually check out the drop tests from MobileReviewsEh or similar channels before buying anything.

  • OtterBox Defender Series XT for Galaxy S25 Ultra - it's way less bulky than the old school versions but keeps the multi-layer protection.
  • UAG Monarch Pro Carbon Fiber S25 Ultra - rated for a 25ft drop which sounds like overkill until you actually drop it on a sidewalk.
  • ESR Armorite Screen Protector for S25 Ultra - these have an easier install than the liquid glue kits and the glass quality is top tier. Quick tip: make sure you re-scan your fingerprints and toggle on the touch sensitivity setting after the install. It makes the ultrasonic sensor way more reliable. I once saw a phone survive a 10-foot tumble onto a steel beam thanks to the UAG frame, so that's usually my go-to for job sites. The frame stayed intact even tho the case took a massive scuff.
