What are the absolute top rated screen protectors for the new Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus that wont mess up the fingerprint scanner? I just pulled the trigger on the pre-order for the 512GB model in that sick new blue color and it arrives on Tuesday so I'm trying to have everything ready to go the second I unbox it.
I did a bunch of digging online and saw that the Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit is usually the gold standard but some people on Reddit were complaining that the ultrasonic sensor on this specific S26 generation is super sensitive and might not read through thicker glass. Then I saw the Whitestone Dome Glass which looks great but honestly the UV light installation looks like a total nightmare and I'm worried I'll mess it up and waste $50.
I live in NYC and I'm constantly dropping my phone while rushing for the subway so I need something that actually survives a drop not just scratches. Is there a specific brand that has that perfect balance of being thin enough for the biometrics but tough enough for a klutz like me? I really want to avoid those cheap film ones if possible because they always feel so rubbery...

Coming back to this... you might want to consider the amFilm OneTouch Glass Screen Protector S26 Plus. I'd suggest being careful with thick glass tho. I once dropped my phone and the protector stayed perfect while the screen underneath shattered... total nightmare. Just make sure to re-register your fingerprints immediately after you install it so the sensor doesnt act up.
Omg I have this exact same issue and I am losing my mind! I pre-ordered that same blue model and I've been obsessing over the sensor specs for days because I refuse to deal with a laggy scanner.
