I just spent a fortune on this S26 Ultra at the mall and im already terrified of scratching it. I dont know anything about these "UV" things or tempered glass and its all so confusing. sorry if this is dumb but what screen protector should I actually buy?
TL;DR: Whitestone Dome Glass UV Gen Screen Protector for Galaxy S26 Ultra is the most reliable if you can handle the setup. UV kits look scary cuz of the liquid but they honestly fit the best with the fingerprint sensor. If that sounds too messy, Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit for Samsung S26 Ultra is way easier to slap on and still super durable. Both work great tho.

Building on the earlier suggestion, I've spent way too much time testing these things over the years. I actually ruined a phone once with a cheap UV kit because the glue leaked into the side buttons... total disaster. You definitely want something with a foolproof installation tray if you're nervous about the process. Check these out instead:
tbh everyone recommends the high end UV kits but they are lowkey a scam. why pay $50 for glue and glass when you can get a multi-pack for way less that feels the exact same? i stopped buying the official samsung stuff too because it scratches way too easy for the price. honestly just grab the Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit for Galaxy S26 Ultra or the ESR Tempered-Glass Screen Protector for S26 Ultra. spigen is way more consistent with the fit than the "premium" brands and esr gives you better value than those overpriced kits... the glass quality is literally identical. just turn up the touch sensitivity in your settings and you wont even notice its there. people overcomplicate this way too much...
Just wanted to say thanks for everyone chiming in. Super helpful discussion.
