Upgrading from my ancient S21—the battery is basically a paperweight now—and I've been doing some deep dives into S26 screen protectors. I’m mostly looking for something that won’t mess up the fingerprint scanner (my main pain point right now). I’ve narrowed it down to the Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit and the Whitestone Dome. I read that Spigen is way easier to put on, but some forum posts mentioned the adhesive is thinner? On the other hand, the Whitestone looks more premium but that UV light installation seems like a disaster waiting to happen.

My constraints:

  • Must be under $45
  • Works with a bulky case
  • No 'camera hole' cutouts (they collect so much dust)

Which one handles the ultrasonic sensor better? I'm leaning Spigen for the price but idk...

^ This. Also, saw this and had to chime in because the S26 sensor is way more PICKY than the S21. ngl Spigen is okay but it usually has that camera hole you hate. 1. Whitestone EA Glass for Galaxy S26 - skip the UV mess. Its cheaper and better for the sensor.

  • amFilm OneTouch for Galaxy S26 - no camera hole and cheaper than Spigen... Dont waste the $45 tbh.

So funny you ask this — last summer I wasted fifty bucks on a UV kit that leaked everywhere (total disaster) before realizing the budget options are just as good. @Reply #1 - good point! I usually check PricePulse for:

  • amFilm OneTouch Glass Screen Protector
  • Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Wait, no — I mean, amFilm is definitely the sensor winner. Check 'MobileReviewsEh' for speed tests; it'll save you cash!

ngl im no expert but i just looked into this last week because im also jumping from an old phone to the S26. spent way too many hours on reddit and youtube trying to figure out the fingerprint sensor situation tbh. heres what i found during my deep dive:

  • Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit is the way to go for the tray alone. its usually like $20 and fits every bulky case ive seen.
  • Whitestone Dome Glass Screen Protector is better for the sensor but that UV light is SCARY and its pushing that $45 limit.
  • amFilm OneTouch Glass Screen Protector is another one people say works way better with the scanner than the Spigen one. i think the Spigen is the safest bet for your wallet. just make sure you turn up the touch sensitivity in the settings after you put it on or it might feel sluggish...
