Finally moving on from my S21 Ultra—the battery is toast and the screen is a mess of micro-scratches. I'm looking at the S26 Ultra now and really want to get the protection right this time. I’ve been researching the Whitestone Dome glass since it’s the 'gold standard,' but I’ve read conflicting reports about the UV adhesive potentially gunking up the speakers or making the fingerprint sensor sluggish. Then there's the Spigen EZ Fit—my logic was that it's cheaper and easier to swap, but is it tough enough?
My main needs:
- Must work perfectly with the ultrasonic sensor
- No lifting at the edges (I use a bulky case)
- Needs to actually survive a drop
I'm just stuck between the high-end liquid stuff and the standard tempered glass... what's the move?

I am no expert but I just looked into this last week for my own upgrade. The Whitestone Dome Glass UV Kit usually costs $45 or more. That is a high price for a single protector that can fail during installation. I found the Spigen EZ Fit Tempered Glass for $18. It comes with two protectors in the box. If one breaks or you mess up the install, you have a spare immediately without spending more. The fingerprint sensor works if you re-register your prints after installation and toggle on the touch sensitivity setting. The UV adhesive kits are not worth the $30 premium and the risk to your speakers. Stick with the Spigen EZ Fit Tempered Glass to save money.
