honestly im so over these thin aesthetic cases that do absolutely nothing when you actually drop your phone. my last screen shattered even with a supposedly military grade cover on it and i just got my S26 today and i am literally terrified to take it out of the box until i have something legit on it. i need something that actually works because i commute on the subway in NYC and drop things constantly.
please tell me what actually holds up because i cant afford another repair bill right now...
ive been super satisfied with these for my commute:
> ive been super satisfied with these for my commute... Those are solid, but I swear by the Speck Presidio2 Grip Samsung Galaxy S26. I fumbled mine at the 14th St station once and the ridges kept it in my hand. The lip is huge on that one. Another decent option is the Ringke Onyx Galaxy S26 Case because the texture is super grippy and it stays under budget. Check out the drop test comparisons on the MobileReviewsEh website for more technical data.
I totally agree about the grip. I once saw a guys phone slide right under the train doors because his case was too smooth... total nightmare. You might want to consider just getting something from OtterBox. You basically cant go wrong with them for pure protection. Just make sure to look for their thinner designs so it isnt too bulky in your pocket, but they really save you on those repair costs.
