I finally pulled the trigger on the S26 Plus after rocking my S21 for like four years and honestly the battery on that thing was so cooked I couldnt go an hour without a plug but now Im having this weird issue with the new one. I know my way around tech usually and I thought I understood the whole Power Delivery and PPS thing but for some reason none of my old chargers are hitting the Super Fast Charging 2.0 speeds on this S26 Plus. Its super frustrating because the camera is amazing and the size is perfect for my hands but waiting two hours for a full charge is killing me. I tried using my 65W MacBook brick and it barely does anything fast and the phone gets kinda warm which makes me nervous and honestly I just want something that actually hits that 45W peak without costing a literal fortune although I guess budget isnt the main issue I just want it to work. I’ve been using standard USB-C bricks for years with no issues but this specific model seems way more picky about the protocol. Is there a specific Anker or Samsung brick that you guys have found actually works consistently with the S26 Plus and actually triggers the blue charging ring?

Re: "ngl the S26 Plus is super picky with..." — yeah, this comes up a lot and honestly, I went through the exact same headache. I had a literal drawer full of "fast" bricks—MacBook ones, old iPad blocks—and none of them triggered that blue ring. I thought my phone was broken! But the thing is, Samsung is incredibly fussy about the PPS (Programmable Power Supply) profile. Basically, most chargers output fixed power, but the S26 Plus needs to negotiate tiny voltage changes—like hitting 4.05A at 11V—to reach 45W without overheating — wait, no, I mean it's more about the efficiency of the handshake. If the charger doesn't "speak" that specific PPS dialect, it just defaults to slow speeds. I finally fixed my setup with:

  • UGREEN Nexode Pro 65W GaN Fast Charger
  • Spigen ArcStation Pro 45W Wall Charger Just ensure you're using a 5A-rated cable—the standard thin ones are capped at 3A and won't hit the max.

ngl the S26 Plus is super picky with that 45W charging. your macbook brick wont work because it lacks PPS support which is lowkey what samsung needs for the blue ring. honestly just grab one of these:

  • Samsung 45W USB-C Power Adapter T4510
  • Anker 313 Charger 45W PPS make sure you use a 5A rated cable too or it wont hit top speeds tbh...
