I'm looking for recommendations on the best VR headset for my new Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. I want something that can fully utilize the phone's advanced features, like its 8K display and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Comfort is key since I wear glasses, so adjustable IPD and a wide field of view are important. My budget is around $500, and I'd love a headset that also allows me to connect to my gaming PC for higher-end VR titles. Any personal experiences or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Saw this thread earlier and figured id weigh in since ive been through like five different headsets over the years trying to find something that actually works. In my experience, you really cant go wrong if you just stick to the Meta brand. Theyve basically mastered the balance between cost and actual usability for people like us who dont want to spend a fortune on niche gear.

  • Getting your phone to talk to a PC for those high-end games is way easier with their software ecosystem than anything else ive tried.
  • Most of their newer stuff is built with glasses users in mind, so you wont feel like your face is being crushed while youre playing.
  • You get the best bang for your buck without having to spend a thousand dollars on some high-end enthusiast kit. Just grab whatever the newest one from Meta is that fits your 500 dollar budget and you will be set. Honestly, any of their recent devices are gonna handle that S24 Ultra connection just fine for streaming and the optics are usually solid enough for that 8K content.

Meta Quest 3S.

PICO 4 ($379) - Great value. Excellent specs, comfortable design, and works well with Samsung phones for streaming. Lighter than Quest 3.
