Which wireless charger works best with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7?

So I finally pulled the trigger on the Fold 7 and it should be here by Tuesday. I'm trying to figure out the desk setup for my home office here in Seattle because my old charger is a cheap generic one that barely worked with my old S21. I looked at the official Samsung 15W duo pad but some people on Reddit were saying it doesnt line up right because of how tall the Fold is when it's closed, and then I saw an Anker stand that looks cool but I'm not sure if it actually supports the max wireless speed for Samsung. I dont want to waste $60 on something that takes 4 hours to charge. Which wireless charger is actually hitting the sweet spot for the Fold 7 without getting the phone super hot?

To add to the point above: the height of the Fold is definitely the main problem. If those coils arent lined up perfectly, you are basically just generating heat instead of actual power. Honestly, heat is the biggest killer for these expensive folding screens and their batteries, so I always prioritize a charger that stays cool over one that just claims the fastest theoretical speed. Ive messed around with a lot of desk setups and usually find that dual-coil stands are the only way to go if you want to charge it vertically without constant disconnects.

  • Spigen ArcField 15W Fast Wireless Charger Stand for Samsung
  • This is probably the most reliable pick for a desk setup. It is built specifically for the Samsung proprietary fast charging protocol and the dual-coil setup means you dont have to wiggle the phone around to find the sweet spot every single time.
  • ESR HaloLock 15W Wireless Charger with CryoBoost Cooling
  • If you use a MagSafe-compatible case, which a lot of us do now for the Fold, this one is amazing because it has a built-in fan. It keeps the phone significantly cooler than the official Samsung pads during long sessions. Basically, just stay away from the cheap generic specials. They usually lack the over-voltage protection and thermal sensors you want for a device this pricey. If you notice the phone getting hot to the touch, the charger is likely struggling to maintain a solid connection. Good luck with the new phone tho, you are gonna love that screen real estate for work.

I went through this exact same headache last month lol. Just saw your post and thought Id share what worked for me. Im really satisfied with my current desk setup after trying a few things out...

  • Samsung 15W Wireless Charger Duo with TA: This one is great because you get the wall brick included, but honestly, the alignment when the Fold is closed is super annoying. It works but you gotta fiddle with it way too much.
  • Anker 313 Wireless Charger Stand: I love the price on this, but like you suspected, it usually caps at 10W for Samsung devices. Its a bit slower but works well if youre just leaving it there all day.
  • Samsung 15W Wireless Charger Single Pad: This is what I ended up keeping. No alignment issues at all because its just a flat surface, and the built-in cooling fan keeps the Fold from getting spicy. Tbh, finding the right spot is half the battle with these folding phones... youll love the Fold 7 tho!

  • Yeah, like the first reply said, finding a good dock is a nightmare.
  • My official charger was such a letdown because it constantly drops the connection.
  • Pretty disappointing for the price.

Congrats on the Fold 7! Finding a dock that doesnt feel like a total waste of money is a pain. Are you planning to charge it mostly while it is open like a tablet or folded shut on your desk? Also, do you strictly need that 15W speed or is a slower charge fine? I found that some stands just dont reach the coils right if the phone is too tall.
