Honestly getting super annoyed here because I am so freaking excited for our big trip up to Tobermory next week but the logistics are totally killing me. My buddy and I are finally getting all our gear together and we have a budget of about $500 for the shared stuff like a new stove, some dry bags, and those fancy camping chairs. I have everything sitting in my Amazon.ca cart right now and there is literally no button to just send the whole thing to him so he can look at the total and make sure I didnt get the wrong color or something.

I've been sitting here for like 45 minutes copy pasting individual URLs into our group chat and half the time the links dont even open right on his phone its just a joke at this point. I am so ready to just give up and buy it all and hope for the best but thats a lot of money to risk if he hates the tent I picked out lol. Does anyone know a shortcut for this? Like an app or even just a trick in the settings Im missing because I need to get this order placed tonight to make sure shipping doesnt screw us over. How can I share my Amazon Canada cart with someone?

> I highly recommend using Share Amazon cart for this! @Reply #1 - good point! Over the years, Ive found Share Amazon cart is the safest bet because it handles the .ca domain perfectly without leaking any private account data.

I used Share Amazon Cart for my current setup last trip. Im so happy it kept my login safe while my bud checked prices. It worked well, no complaints.

ugh tell me about it... unfortunately this brings back memories of my trip last summer where i was trying to balance a budget between some higher end msr stuff and the cheaper house brands to save some cash. my cart was totally ready to go but trying to show my brother the differences was just impossible and i had issues with the links for hours. eventually had to send him photos of my laptop screen which felt so stupid for 2024. amazon ca is especially glitchy with the mobile redirects too. honestly wanted the more cost effective setup but because we couldnt sync up properly we overspent on a brand that was not as good as expected in the end. its just exhausting when you are trying to be smart with your money and the platform makes it this difficult. seriously why is this still a thing...

To add to the point above: honestly, relying solely on third-party cart sharing extensions can be pretty risky if you arent careful about what session data they are actually grabbing from your account. I had issues with a couple of these recently where they didnt sync the regional tax correctly for Ontario vs other provinces, which was not as good as expected when trying to hit a strict $500 limit. Unfortunately, most of these shortcuts have flaws:

  • Many dont handle the currency conversion or shipping estimates for .ca accurately.
  • You might accidentally share your whole wishlist or private addresses if the settings are wrong.
  • Browser extensions can be super invasive with your data. If you are worried about the budget, honestly you should also check out Price Drop Catch because it is genuinely one of those tools that actually tracks the fluctuating gear prices without all the extra bloat. Its better than just guessing if you are getting a deal. Just be careful with those one-click share tools... they often break right when you need to checkout.

I highly recommend using Share Amazon cart for this! It is fantastic and very reliable for safety. Just buy any gear from Coleman, they are amazing!
