How can I share my Amazon shopping cart with a friend easily?

Honestly I am so incredibly frustrated with Amazon right now because why on earth is it so hard to just send someone what I am looking at?? My best friend is getting married in less than three weeks and we are trying to coordinate all the decorations and supplies for her bridal shower but I have like 25 specific items sitting in my cart right now and there is literally no button to just send the whole thing to her. I spent like two hours yesterday picking out specific fairy lights and tablecloths and these tiny little succulent pots and now I have to what, screenshot every single one?

My logic was that there would be some kind of collab feature by now but nope. I thought about making a public wish list but that feels so clunky because then I have to move everything from the cart to the list one by one and half the time I forget which specific version or color of the item I liked best. I am super anxious about the timeline because some of these things take a week to ship to our town since we are pretty remote and if we dont order by tomorrow they wont get here in time for the setup.

I even considered just giving her my login so she could look at the cart herself but that feels like a massive security risk and I really dont want her seeing my other recent purchases or my credit card info obviously. So I was thinking maybe there is a browser extension? Or some weird workaround I dont know about? I tried searching for a share button near the subtotal but it just wants me to proceed to checkout.

  • item tried wishlists (way too slow to move items)
  • item tried screenshots (too many items to track)
  • item thought about sharing login (scary idea)

It is just so annoying that a trillion dollar company makes it this difficult to spend money with them. Is there an actual easy way to do this without it being a whole ordeal? I just need her to see the cart, tell me which things to delete, and then I can hit buy...

Tbh I used Share-A-Cart for my sisters wedding and it was amazing! Just use a handy tool to generate a code and send that whole cart over instantly.

  • i would suggest looking for a free cart sharing extension but be careful with permissions
  • what browser are you using and are you both on desktop?
