How can I share my Amazon UK cart with a friend?

So I'm finally getting my best mate a huge housewarming haul for his new flat in Manchester and I've got like £250 worth of stuff sitting in my basket right now. I've been using Amazon UK since forever so I usually know my way around the UI but I'm totally stumped here. I want my other friend to double check everything before I check out to make sure I didnt miss anything he wanted. Sending individual links for 25 items is gonna be a nightmare and I dont want to deal with session timeout issues if I just copy the URL. Is there an actual way to just share the whole cart as a link or do I have to make a public wishlist?

Building on the earlier suggestion, I've had a lot of success using registries for tech projects, though you gotta be careful with stock levels. In my experience, shared lists can lag, so double check the SKUs before paying. It's a bit technical but Amazon baskets are tied to local session cookies, which is why direct links fail. Honestly though, once you get the list sorted it works well. btw if you're shopping with others, Cart to Link lets you share your whole Amazon cart as a link — super handy for group buys.

^ This. Also, I have been banging my head against the wall with this exact same issue for about six months now. I frequently manage high-value tech orders for my team and the lack of a native share function is just infuriating from a technical UX perspective. 1. I tried finding a workaround for a massive hardware haul last week and ended up having to screen share on Zoom just to confirm the items, which was such a total waste of time.

  • It is completely ridiculous that a platform this size doesnt let us sync basket sessions or generate a temporary guest link for validation purposes.
  • I have wasted so many hours trying to find a hidden feature or some kind of script to export the data, but basically nothing works reliably tho. I am totally stumped too, ngl. It is genuinely shocking that we are still stuck doing this manually in 2024.

TL;DR: There is no direct way to do it and its honestly a total joke that we're still dealing with this in 2024! It is actually mental that a tech giant like Amazon UK doesn't have a simple share button for baskets! I do these big housewarming hauls too and every single time it drives me crazy how prehistoric the UI feels... I love the selection, but honestly its ridiculous how they ignore such basic features while jacking up prices. You look at other brands like eBay and they actually make it easier to manage your buying, yet Amazon treats your cart like its top-secret info. Its such a scam that they expect us to spend hundreds of pounds but wont give us a simple link to show a friend! Basically shows they don't care about the customer experience at all anymore. They are so far behind the curve it's actually embarrassing, ngl.

Honestly, Amazon doesnt have a direct share button for baskets yet. I would suggest just making a Wish List and setting it to Shared. Be careful tho, because prices on Amazon UK fluctuate like crazy and items can go out of stock fast. Make sure to move them back to your basket manually to lock in the current deals before you pay.

ngl I have this exact same issue right now and its been bothering me for like three months. I am usually super happy with how the UI works for everything else, so I am pretty satisfied with the platform overall, but this one missing feature is a massive headache. Im trying to coordinate a huge order for my brothers wedding and honestly, I still havent found a way to make it work. Its just such a drag when you have dozens of items and no way to show someone else without jumping through hoops... been searching for a fix forever but totally stuck.
