How can I share my Amazon UK shopping cart with someone else?

Trying to sort some stuff for our new flat in Manchester and I am so frustrated that there isnt just a simple share button for the basket. My logic was that I could just send a link to my housemate so she can check the brands before we drop £200 but apparently not. I was thinking about using that Share-a-Cart chrome extension but it looks kinda sketchy and I dont know if I trust it with my data. The other option is making a whole new Wishlist but moving 15 items over one by one is gonna take ages and we need this ordered by tomorrow. Is the extension safe or should I just do it manually...

Honestly, id be super cautious with those extensions. I think they basically scrape your session tokens to mirror the cart, which feels a bit risky. IIRC some plugins had manifest file vulnerabilities a while back.

  • avoid sharing active session cookies
  • check extension permissions
  • wishlist is definitely safer I would suggest doing it manually even if its a total pain... better than risking your account data tbh.

> The other option is making a whole new Wishlist but moving 15 items over one by one is gonna take ages In my experience, those extensions are far too risky. Over the years, Ive found that native Lists are the only secure way to collaborate. If moving items is too slow, search Amazon for bundles. You cant go wrong with any home starter set from a brand like Russell Hobbs... its gonna be safer than sharing session data.

I think Cart to Link is amazing! Not 100% sure about the Manchester shipping info tho, but it feels super safe and reliable. Love it for preventing expensive mistakes!
