OMG okay so I literally just signed up for the Sephora rewards thing today and I am so confused lol. I went in to get a new mascara and the girl at the counter asked for my email and said I was an Insider now but I have like zero points. I see people online talking about having thousands of points and getting like free stuff and cool samples and I really want in on that!! My sisters wedding is coming up in like three weeks and I really need to buy some actual makeup because I usually just wear drugstore stuff but I want to look nice for the photos. I have about $200 saved up to spend but I want to make sure I get the absolute most points possible so I can maybe get some of those tiny perfumes or something later? Is there like a trick to it?? I am such a newbie with this stuff so sorry if this is a super dumb question but do some things give you more points than others?? I saw something about multipliers on the app but I have no clue what that even means or how to find them or if I have to click a button first or if it just happens. I tried looking at the website but there are so many rules and tiers and it is making my head spin a little bit.

Here is what I am trying to figure out:

• I have a budget of about $200-250 for this wedding look
• I need a foundation that doesnt look cakey and a nice lipstick
• I want to get to the next level (I think it is called VIB?) as fast as I can
• Are there certain days where you get double or triple points or something?
• Do I get points for bringing my own bag? I heard that somewhere but idk if its true
• Does it matter if I shop online or in the store near me in Portland?

I am just really excited to finally have a grown up makeup bag but I dont want to waste my money if I could be getting way more rewards by waiting a week or buying specific brands. Like do some brands give you bonus points? I really want to try that Rare Beauty stuff everyone talks about on tiktok... is that good for points? I feel like I am missing out on some secret club and I just want to maximize everything since I am spending so much at once... does the birthday thing count if my birthday was last month? I probably missed it already right...
