Im seriously about to pull my hair out with Amazon right now. I have about 22 items in my cart for the new nursery setup and I need my husband to look at everything before I hit buy since we are spending like 450 quid on this. I thought there would be a simple button to just send the whole thing over to him but apparently not? I tried taking screenshots on my phone but it took like six different pictures and I missed half the prices and the shipping dates and its just a total mess to look at. Its actually so annoying that a company this big makes it this hard to share a shopping list with someone else in the same house. We are in a huge rush because we need this stuff delivered to our place in Bristol by Wednesday before my sister arrives and the clock is ticking. I tried making a registry or a wishlist but then I have to go through and add every single item one by one again and I just dont have the time for that tonight. Is there some kind of browser extension or a hidden setting I am missing to just link the whole cart? Honestly fed up with this... what is the easiest way to send my Amazon cart contents to someone else without losing my mind?
honestly its super annoying that amazon still hasnt fixed this basic issue. unfortunately they really want everyone to use those clunky wishlists which are a massive waste of time when youre in a rush like you are. had issues with this exact thing last year when we were buying furniture and i almost lost my mind too. the easiest way is definitely using a browser extension called share-a-cart. basically you just install it on chrome or whatever browser youre using, click the icon while youre looking at your basket, and it generates a unique code or link. you send that to your husband and he can literally just click it to load all those items into his own cart instantly. its way better than the screenshot mess and definitely faster than making a registry from scratch. not as good as a built-in button obviously but its the best workaround ive found.
Ok adding this to my list of things to try. Thanks for the tip!
Late to the party but this whole thread is 💯. Glad I found it.
Unfortunately amazon is lacking here. Just use Share-A-Cart; it generates a session link so you dont have to rebuild the list manually. Not as seamless as a native button but saves hours...
> I tried making a registry or a wishlist but then I have to go through and add every single item one by one again and I just dont have the time for that tonight. I totally feel your pain on this! I went through this exact nightmare when we were kitting out our home gym last summer. I had dozens of items and was terrified that a link would break or some items would just vanish from the cart mid-transfer. I absolutely love finding a workflow that actually stays stable because nothing is worse than losing a massive list when youre on a deadline!! Reliability is everything when youre dropping hundreds of pounds. Quick question tho to make sure you get the best setup... are you guys sharing a single login or are you trying to send this to his own separate account? And do you need him to just look at the items for approval or does he need to be able to actually edit the quantities on his end?
> Regarding what UranusIce said about being late to the party... this whole thread hits on a major pain point. I remember doing a massive garage renovation a few years back and trying the old school DIY way by copy-pasting every single product link into a giant email. It was a total mess because half the items went out of stock before my partner even opened the message. Basically the consensus here is right. Amazon keeps your cart tied to your specific browser cookies for security, so there isnt a simple native way to just send a link. The most reliable way is definitely using Share-A-Cart. It works by grabbing the product IDs and creating a temporary link that anyone can open to see the exact items. Since you are in a rush for that Bristol delivery, its really your only bet to avoid rebuilding the list manually. Just a heads up tho... those temporary links can sometimes expire if items sell out or prices shift, so have your husband check it as soon as you send it over.
