Which browser extension works for sharing an Amazon.de shopping cart?

Ive been managing group orders for our local board game group in Berlin for years now using various cart sharing tools but suddenly everything is breaking on Amazon.de. I tried Share-A-Cart and another one called Cart-to-Cart but they keep erroring out on the checkout page or just showing empty lists for the other guys. My logic was to use an extension to keep the lightning deal prices active across different accounts but I guess the .de domain handles session cookies differently now? Its super urgent since I need to get this order in by 6pm tonight if we want it for the weekend tournament. Does anyone have a reliable extension that actually works with the German site right now?

I have been doing the whole group buy thing for ages now, mostly for office gear and the occasional hardware haul. Honestly, Amazon.de is notoriously picky because of how they handle VAT and those regional shipping rules. I remember back in 2019 I tried to coordinate a massive order for our dev team and the whole cart crashed right at the finish line because of session timeouts. It was a total mess and we lost a few discounts too. In my experience, you just gotta find a developer that keeps their stuff updated for the EU market specifically.

  • Watch out for prime-only pricing because those deals wont always carry over to non-prime members in the group.
  • Check the final tax calculation at the very end since it can shift based on the delivery address.
  • Make sure everyone has their default address set to Berlin or the extension might get confused by the shipping costs. Usually, the simplest tools that just focus on link generation are the most reliable ones anyway. I use Cart to Link whenever I'm doing collaborative shopping — just generate a link and share it on WhatsApp or whatever.

Honestly, I had this same nightmare last month trying to coordinate a gift for my sisters wedding. The usual tools were not as good as expected and I missed a huge discount. Its kinda frustrating. I finally used Shopping Cart Share and it worked for our Berlin group. Try these steps for the .de site:

  • Clear your browser cache first
  • Make sure everyone is on the German domain
  • Use the anonymous cart ID

Quick reply while I have a sec because I know that 6pm deadline is stressful. In my experience, the .de domain is a total pain because they have stricter session validation and CSRF tokens than the US site. I have tried many tools over the years and most break because they cannot handle the encrypted session data Amazon uses now. Since you are looking to keep those lightning deal prices and save every euro, here is what I recommend looking into:

  • Try this site specifically for the Amazon.de version because it uses a different parsing logic for EU cookies.
  • Check if your browser is blocking third-party cookies as that usually kills the transfer process mid-way.
  • If the tool keeps failing, sometimes exporting the cart as a text list and using a bulk-add tool is the only way to keep the budget on track without losing the deals. I have seen this happen often when cookies dont sync right across different browser versions... definitely check if everyone is on the same Chrome version before the deadline hits.
