Hey! Looking for a solid car mount for my iPad Air. So many options... Driving a 2016 Honda Civic. Don't need anything fancy, just reliable. Any recommendations for mounts under $50?

Same here!

ProClip. Had mine 5+ years, rock solid. Pricey (over $50), but worth it IMO.

Hey! For under $50, RAM Mounts are decent and durable. Be careful with suction cups – they can fail, especially in heat. I'd suggest prioritizing a vent or CD slot mount for your Civic; less likely to obstruct your view. Make sure it's properly secured! Consider a quick check by a car audio shop if unsure. Just a thought.

Consider RAM Mounts; they use ball-and-socket joints. Vibration can loosen cheaper mounts, causing drops. Professional install recommended for dash mounts to avoid airbag interference.

Forget fancy. Consider crash safety. A flimsy mount turns into a projectile. I've seen it firsthand. Look for mounts meeting some impact standard (difficult, I know!). ProClip is pricey, but solid. Cheaper? RAM Mounts are decent *if* properly installed. Check the suction cup EVERY time, especially in summer heat. Your iPad becoming a weapon is not worth saving $20.

RAM Mounts are solid. Over the years, their reliability justifies a slightly higher price point.
