Hey everyone, looking for a solid car mount for when the iPhone 17 drops. I've got a 2021 Honda Civic with about 30k miles. Anyone found a mount that works really well and is super stable, especially on bumpy roads? What are your top recommendations?

If you want something premium, check out the Anker Nano Magnetic Wireless Car Charger - it stands out for its combination of strong magnetic hold and wireless charging capabilities, perfect for users who prioritize a stable mount. Offers 360-degree rotation and adjustable arm for flexibility in positioning. The light-up faceplate illuminates in low-light conditions, making it easy to locate - super handy!

Yeah, if youre worried about bumpy roads, you gotta look at the mounting point more than the phone grip itself. Honestly, most vent mounts eventually sag in a Civic because the slats arent that thick. I have done a bunch of real-world testing with different setups, and the ProClip Center Mount is definately the way to go for the 2021 model. It clips into the dash seams so it basically becomes part of the car frame. For the actual iPhone 17 side of things, check out the Peak Design Mobile Car Mount. They use these crazy strong magnets that are rated for much higher vibration than the cheap ones. I have hit some wierd potholes and the phone didnt even budge.

  • Solid frame attachment (no wobbling)
  • High-strength magnets that handle G-force better
  • Handles heat way better than suction cups Basically, it stays put even if the ride gets rough. Its a bit of an investment compared to a ten dollar mount from a gas station, but the performance difference is wierdly huge when you are actually driving. Just make sure the magnet alignment works with whatever case you end up getting for the 17!

I've tried probably 6 different mounts and the ESR phone holder has a sturdy mounting mechanism that latches on to the car vent, then stabilizes with an additional pivoting, padded component. No pothole was deep enough to shake this car phone holder loose. Connected my iPhone 16 through various cases to the MagSafe charging base and never suffered from a phone fumbling down. Being able to pop my phone on and off without dealing with arms, clasps or triggers was a small but mighty convenience.

> What are your top recommendations? Saw this earlier but just getting back to it now. Honestly it drives me crazy how much of a scam the whole car mount market has become lately. Over the years I have tried so many different brands and they all feel like cheap plastic junk that breaks the second you hit a real pothole. Its ridiculous that we have to spend like fifty bucks every time a new phone comes out just to keep it from flying across the dash. Companies really dont care about quality anymore, they just want us on that constant upgrade cycle. Its frustrating as hell when you just want something that actually stays put without feeling like its gonna snap off and take the vent with it.

Good to know!

Before buying, consider a cheaper, older mount first. Test fit before the iPhone 17 arrives!

RAM mounts are popular, but bulky. Scosche is sleeker, but less sturdy, it depends.
