Hey everyone! I just finally pulled the trigger on the iPhone 16 Pro in the Desert Titanium finish, and I am super excited for it to arrive. Since I am upgrading from a much older model, I realized I am pretty behind on the latest gear. I want to make sure I protect this thing properly without hiding the design too much.

Specifically, I am curious about what people are using for cases that actually work well with the new Camera Control button. I have seen some cases with just a cutout and others with a special sapphire glass overlay, so I am not sure which route is better for daily use and accessibility. Also, since the 16 Pro supports faster charging and USB-C speeds, I am looking for a solid power brick and maybe a high-speed cable for data transfers. I also want to dive more into the MagSafe ecosystem, so any recommendations for wallets or car mounts would be great.

I am trying to keep the total budget for accessories under $150 if possible, but I am willing to pay for quality if it really makes a difference in the long run. My main concern is finding a screen protector that does not interfere with the ultra-thin bezels on this specific model.

What are your top must-have accessories that you think every iPhone 16 Pro owner should pick up right away?

Just sharing my experience: I went through this exact same panic last week after my Desert Titanium arrived!! I was reallyyy worried about the Camera Control button feeling flimsy or getting scratched, so I tested a few options.

  • Option A: The iPhone+16+Pro&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Supcase UB Mag for iPhone 16 Pro uses a sapphire glass layer. It feels way more SOLID than the cutout versions which kinda let dust in and feel sharp on the finger.
  • Option B: For power, I skipped the basic blocks and got the Ugreen Nexode 45W Dual USB C Wall Charger. It handles those faster 16 Pro speeds without getting the phone too HOT, which I think is key for long-term battery health and safety.
  • Option C: For the screen, I used the iPhone+16+Pro&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Belkin UltraGlass 2 Treated Screen Protector for iPhone 16 Pro. It actually fits those tiny bezels perfectly without any lifting. Safety-wise, I feel way more comfortable with these cuz they dont leave the button exposed. Honestly, spending a bit more for the sapphire button tech was worth it for the peace of mind. TL;DR: Sapphire button covers are safer than cutouts. High-quality GaN chargers prevent overheating. Belkin glass is best for those ultra-thin bezels. Cheers!

Seconding the recommendation above! Cutouts are basically a mess for that button.

Be careful with cheap cutout cases cuz they make the button hard to reach and dont feel great, so maybe consider one with a capacitive sapphire layer instead, right?

Ok so, quick question - do you move huge files often? i used a cheap cutout case on my setup and:

  • button access sucks
  • it feels flimsy

Honestly, just be careful!
