honestly im just so fed up with my current phone like actually i cant even deal anymore. im upgrading from an iphone 13 mini and while i loved the size at first the battery has become absolute garbage over the last year and i cant even make it to lunch without it hitting 20 percent its driving me crazy. i keep having to carry a bulky power bank everywhere which kinda defeats the purpose of having a small phone right?? plus i dropped it onto my driveway last week and even though i had this 'super tough' case i bought on sale the whole back glass just spiderwebbed everywhere so im totally done with cheap brands.

i finally pulled the trigger on the new iphone 17e because i need that better battery life and i heard the camera is a massive step up from what i have now but now im just paranoid about breaking it immediately. the 17e is a bit bigger than what im used to so i really need something that isnt gonna turn it into a literal brick in my hand because my hands are kinda small and i already struggle with dropping things constantly. i dont want to spend like a hundred bucks on a case but im willing to go up to maybe 50 or 60 if it actually works and doesnt look like some weird rugged tactical gear that belongs on a construction site.

here is what im looking for basically:

• actually protects against drops on concrete because i am a total klutz
• needs to be grippy because my hands are always dry and phones just slide right out of them
• not too bulky i still want to be able to fit it in my jeans pockets without it being a whole ordeal
• magsafe is a must because i already invested in all the chargers

ive been looking at brands like dbrand or maybe mous but i dont know if they are just overhyped by influencers or if they actually hold up in the real world. has anyone actually found a case for the 17e that feels solid without being massive? i really dont want to have to pay for another screen repair two weeks after getting this thing...
