I finally pulled the trigger and upgraded to the iPhone 16 Pro Max! This thing is an absolute beast, and honestly, after spending that much on a phone, I’m a little nervous about keeping it in pristine condition. I’ve always been a bit of a minimalist with my previous phones, but given the size and the new camera setup on the 16 Pro Max, I feel like I need to be smarter about the accessories I pick up this time.

I’m definitely looking for a solid MagSafe case that isn't too bulky but offers decent drop protection. I’m also curious about screen protectors—do the high-end tempered glass ones actually make a difference on this specific display? Also, since Apple doesn't include the power brick anymore, I’m wondering if I should stick to the official 30W charger or if there are better third-party GaN chargers that people recommend for faster charging speeds. I've been looking at brands like Anker and ESR, but there are so many options out there it’s getting a bit overwhelming. I really want to make sure I'm getting the most out of the Action button and the new Camera Control button without a case getting in the way. What are the absolute must-have accessories you guys are using for your 16 Pro Max to keep it safe and functional?

> I’m a little nervous about keeping it in pristine condition. Ok so +1 to what was said earlier, saving this thread is a good call! I totally feel u on the anxiety... I've tried many setups over the years and honestly, you dont need to overspend to keep it safe. In my experience, the iPhone+16+Pro+Max+Classic+Hybrid+Case+with+Stash+Stand+%28HaloLock%29&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">ESR iPhone 16 Pro Max Classic Hybrid Case with Stash Stand (HaloLock) is the best bang for your buck. It protects the camera bump and the MagSafe is actually way stronger than Apple's! For the screen, seriously, dont drop $50 on a Belkin one. The iPhone+16+Pro+Max&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit for iPhone 16 Pro Max is basically 1/3 the price and the alignment tool makes it EASY to get it perfect. Also, skip the Apple brick and grab the Anker 711 Charger (Nano II 30W). It's way smaller and better value overall. GL with the beast!

I definitely agree with what was said earlier about those slim cases being a bit of a risk for the screen edges. Learned that the hard way with my last phone... dropped it right on the corner and the minimalist case did absolutely nothing to save it. For the 16 Pro Max, the <a href=" https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=Nomad+Modern+Leather+Case+for+ iPhone+16+Pro+Max&_sacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p4624852.m570.l1311&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5337998953&customid=22&toolid=10001&mkevt=1" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Nomad Modern Leather Case for iPhone 16 Pro Max has been a solid pivot for me this year. It gives you that high-end look without being a tank, plus the leather actually gets a nice patina over time which covers up minor scratches. Most importantly, the cutouts for the new Camera Control button are actually deep enough that I dont accidentally trigger it while just holding the phone normally. Regarding the power brick, sticking to the official 30W is fine but it feels like a bit of a waste of cash compared to other options. The Belkin BoostCharge Pro 65W GaN Dual USB-C Charger is what I've been using lately. The big advantage here isn't just the speed for the iPhone, but the dual ports. Since the Pro Max can pull close to 30W anyway, having a 65W brick means charging the phone and my iPad at the same time without the charger getting super hot. GaN tech is basically a must now because it keeps the footprint tiny even with the higher output. Tbh it’s way more practical for a daily carry than the single-port Apple one.

Re: "Saving this thread" - yeah definitely a good idea because there are so many junk brands out there now. Since you mentioned being nervous about the condition, I might suggest looking at the iPhone+16+Pro+Max&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Mous Limitless 5.0 MagSafe Case for iPhone 16 Pro Max. Its kinda pricey but honestly the drop protection is legendary. You gotta be careful with the slim cases because they usually leave the screen edges vulnerable, but this one has a good lip around the front. Plus it doesn't get in the way of the new camera control button which is huge. For the screen, maybe check out the iPhone+16+Pro+Max&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">ZAGG InvisibleShield Glass XTR3 for iPhone 16 Pro Max. It’s a bit of an investment but the touch sensitivity is way better than the cheap ones. I would suggest being super patient with the install though... use the alignment frame or you'll regret it lol. And for charging, I personally swear by the Ugreen Nexode 45W Dual USB C GaN Charger. It's super reliable and you can charge your watch or airpods at the same time without it overheating. Just make sure you dont use a cheap uncertified cable tho, it's not worth the risk on a brand new Pro Max.
